4 Locate the steam generator horizontally on the iron r est plate of your ironing boar d (if large enough) or on a heat resistant stand at the same height as your ir oning board or below it. Alw ays ensure the steam generator is on a firm sur face when ironing .
5 T urn the temperature dial (3) to suit the garment (see T emperatur e guide on page 4). The temperature indicator light (5) illuminates until the temperature is r eached.
6 Cleaning the boiler When the boiler req uires descaling, the descaling indicator light (19) will illuminate. When this happens, the boiler must be manually rinsed out with clean water until all the scale is r emoved. The indicator light will go out only after the scale has been remo ved.
7 3 Hold the base unit (10) firmly with both hands and shake w ell. 4 T ur n the base unit (10) upside-do wn and pull back the boiler cap (15) . Unscr ew the boiler sc rew (14) with the boiler key (1 3) , which is attached to the underside of the base unit.
