1.3. INST AL LA TI ON 1.3.1. Identify Y ou r Existing W iring System For you to properly connect your 2750 4-Line T e lephone to an existing wiring s y ste m, it is important that you understand its configuration. The following are the most common multiple line situations.
1.3.7. Assign a Station Numb er Station 01 must be the first number assigned . Station 01 is required for programming select features on the 2750. Refer to Section 2.
1.3.10. V e rify Proper Installation The following procedure should be used at each telephon e to check for proper installation. Also use this procedure an y time y ou are experiencing difficulty .
f. Use the dial pad numbers to enter the name for the desired station. g. Press the soft key under SA VE . Repeat steps “a” through “g” for an y additional stations you wish to name. The table below shows which dial pad numbers to press for all the different letters and special characters.
2.3.1. T o Set Connections /Configuration a. Press MENU . The display will read “ Phone Setting . ” b. Press the soft key under ENTER. c. Press the DOWN ARROW repeatedly until the display reads ” Line T ype. ” d. Press the soft key under ENTER .
2.5. Ringer Configuration The ringers for each outside line are controlled ind ividually at each telephone. There are three possible settings for each line ringer: RINGER ON : The line will ring normally . DELA YED RING : The line will start ringing after 20 seconds.
b. Y ou ma y want to assign a particular line the same distinctive ring at all of the stations. For example, if line 3 were the customer service line, you may assign line 3 the same distinctive tone at all the telephones so ever ybody can easily tell when this line is ringing.
2.7. Automatic Line Selection This feature allows you to choose which line w ill be selected automaticall y when y ou lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button. Y ou ma y choose any of the outside lines or the Intercom line. If your chosen line is in-use, the telephone w ill automatically select the next available line.
2.8.2. T urning toll restriction on/off at a particular telephone: Note: After setting a station’ s res trictions, its toll restriction is automat ically ON. In the future, you may temporaril y override its toll restriction or turn its toll restriction off for a longer period without affecting the settings stored in the telephone.
In addition to setting specific restrictions at a particular phone, you may completel y restrict any or all of the lines at a particular station. That station will not be able to make an y outgoing calls on the restricted lines, with the exception of the allowed numbers at that station and calls to “ 91 1”.
2.9.1. T o Change the Privacy S etting At Station #01: a. Press MENU . The display will read “ Phone Setting ” b. Press the DOWN ARROW repeatedly until “ Advanced Setting ” appears in the displa y . c. Press the soft key under ENTER. d. Press DOWN ARROW repeatedly until “ System Privacy ” appears in the displa y .
2.1 1.1. T o enter HOME, LOCAL, and “1 PLUS 7” area codes a. Press MENU . The display will read “ Phone Setting ” b. Press the soft key under ENTER c. Press DOWN ARROW until “ Area Codes ” appears in the display d. Press the soft key under ENTER .
3.1.6. Storing a Caller ID number into memory T o store a caller ID number into memory , press CALLS. Y ou ma y then press the UP or DOWN key to scroll through the Caller ID list to s elect a Caller ID to save. Press the Director y key (#) and press Y es to save or No to cancel when the desired nu mber is displayed.
c. Press Down Arro w repeatedl y until “ Centrex Prefix ” appears in the displa y d. Press the soft key under ENTER . The display will show the currently stored Centrex prefix, or indicate“ XXXXXXX ” if none has been stored. e. Press the soft key under CHANGE f.
4. MISCELLANEOUS SETTINGS 4.1. T ime and Date a. Press MENU . The display will read “ Phone Setting .” b. Press the DOWN ARROW repeatedly until “ T im e/Date Set ” appears in the displa y c. Press the soft key under ENTER . The display will show the currently set time d.
4.3. Caller ID on Call W aiting (CIDC W) Sensitivity If your 2750 does not respond correctly to CIDCW signals, it may be necessary to adjust the sensitivit y . a. Press MENU , b. Press the soft key under ENTER c. Press DOWN ARROW repeatedly . “ CIDCW : High Sens ” or “ CIDCW : Low S ens ” appears in the display d.
5. ANSWERING SYSTEM 5.1. Setting Answering Option The 2750 will function as an Answering M achine or as an Auto-Attendant. The answering system can store typically 60 minutes of incoming messages, memos and OGMs. If the answering system is full and cannot store any more messages, the displa y will show the message “Memory Full!” 5.
5.1.2.3. Changing your OGM. Follow steps in 5.1.2. and the newl y recorded OGM will automatically replace the old one. 5.1.3. Setting Y our T elephone's Pickup Delay The Pickup Delay setting determines how long the phone will ring before picking up an incoming call, or a call transferred to it.
5.1.6. Rem ote Code The Remote Code will allow you to remotel y check your Answering System from a distant location. Until you set your Remote Code, the code w ill be the one set at the factory , which is “1234”. Whe n your OGM starts playing, enter your Remote Code.
5.2.1. Set up the A uto Attendant a. Press MENU b. Press DOWN ARROW repeatedly until “ Answer Setting ” appears in the displa y . c. Press the soft key under ENTER . “ Ans System: OFF ” will appear in the displa y . d. Press the soft key under CHANGE repeatedly until “ Ans System : AA ” will appear in display .
5.2.4. Record y our Auto Attendant Zero-Out (OGM) This is the message you want your callers to hear if they press “0” while listening to the Auto Attend ant Message. a. Press MENU b. Press DOWN ARROW repeatedly until “ Answer Setting ” appears in the displa y .
5.2.7. Setting More Tha n One Phone as an Auto A ttendant Y ou ma y wish to set more than one phone as an Auto Att endant to act as a back up for when your primary Auto Attendant is bus y .
5.2.10. T urn Off the Auto Attendant on One or Mor e Lines Y ou ma y wish to turn the Auto Attendant OFF on one or more l ines. For example, you may have a personal line that you do not want answered b y the Auto Attendant. T o do this follow the steps of 5.

6. TELEPHONE OPERA TION 6.1. Making and Answering Calls When you lift the handset to make a call, the phone s elects a line according to its automatic line selection setting. If you lift the handset while your phone is ringing, your phone will automatically select the ringing line.

6.5.2. Blind T ransfer a. Press the T RANSFER button. b. Dial the desired two-digit station number to transfer the call to that station. If the desired station does not answer , it will stop ringing after one minute. T o re-engage the call press the flashing LINE button.
The call record will show the Caller Na me, Call Number , Line Number , Date , and T ime of call. 6.6.3.2. Dialing Calls Follow the instructions in Section 6.6.3.1 for viewing the ca ller list. Once the desired number is displayed, lift your handset, press SPEAKER , HEADS ET , or a LI NE button to dial the number .
6.7.3. Speakerphone While the speakerphone is activated, press the up and down V OLUME buttons to set desired speakerphone volume. 6.7.4. Intercom Speaker While using the intercom or receiving a page, press the up and down V OLU ME buttons to set desired intercom speaker volume.
For this feature to operate correctl y , severa l items must be set correctl y . Y ou must be subscribed to V oice Mail from the telephone company . The message signaling must arrive on the correct line, and the phone must be set for the correct t ype of message waiting.
T o reserve a line a. Press HOLD . b. Press the desired LINE button. The line indicator will turn from red to orange. T o cancel Line Reserve press the LINE button again. The line indicator will turn from orange back to red. If you do not go off-hook within 15 seconds after you are alerted, the line will become free again for others to use.
6.15.2. Ti mer Reset Press the up arrow (^)button, which is found directl y below the display . 6.15.3. Elapsed Call T ime (Previous Calls) While the phone is on-hook and idle, press REDIAL . The display will show the elapsed time of the previous call, along with its time and date.
Note: If the intercom line is bus y or the called station is set to DO NOT DISTURB , y ou w ill hear a no action tone. 6.20.1. Interco m w hile Idle a. Press INTCM. b. Dial the two-digit station number of the station you wish to inter com. c. T o end the conversation, hang up or press SPEAKER or HEADSET button.
6.21.2. All Page The All Page feature enables you to ma ke announcements through all of the other 2750/2740 stations. When you make an All Page, your announcement, preceded by a double paging alert tone, will be heard at all the phones that are not in use and do not have their DO NOT DI STURB or BLOCK P AGE activated.
7. USING YOUR TELEPHONE'S ANSWERING SYSTEM. The 2750 supports two types of V oice Mail/V oice Answering. W e support external class V oice Mail service and the internal Answering S ystem. The internal Answering System supports up to 60 minutes of incoming and out going messages.
7.1.4. Repeat a Message During message playback, press the REPEA T button to return to the beginning of the current mess age. If you wish to go to the beginning of the previous message, press the REPEA T button quickly a second time. 7.1.5. Skip to the next Mess age During message playback, press the SKIP button to skip to the next message.
7.1.13. Erasing Messages 7.1.13.1. T o Erase A Message While listening to the message, press the ERASE button. The voice will sa y “ Erased ” as a confirmation that the message is erased.
7.3. T o Repeat an Auto A ttendant OGM While listening to an Auto A ttendant OGM, the caller can press “9” to repeat the main menu. Y ou may want to include the phrase “ to repeat this message, dial 9”. If you have recorded AA OGM 2 – 8 messages, they can be repeated b y dialing the number of the message again.
9. BA TTERIE S Y our 2750 tel ephone uses AC power from a standard wall outlet. As long as the telephone is connected to a wall outlet, it will operate using the AC power . Please remember to plug you r telephone into a wall outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch.
