English – 13 PRESENT A TION Adjusting the cutting height The cutting height can be adjusted to se ven diff erent positions. Select the required cutting height (1-7) using the cutting height adjusters. Set the knobs horizontally so that they do not snag on bushes and the lik e.
14 – English PRESENT A TION Seat The seat has a jointed attachment on the front edge and can be tipped f orward. T o f old the seat forw ard, the latch f or the seat must be operated.
English – 15 PRESENT A TION The power outlet is s witched on and off using power s witch on the control panel. The power outlet w orks ev en if the ignition is turned off. Do not f orget to disconnect the power outlet or remo ve the po wer consumer when the machine is not in use.
16 – English PRESENT A TION R OPS (Roll Over Protective Structure) ROPS is a protectiv e frame that reduces the r isk of injur y in the e vent of o vertur ning. Use ROPS and a saf ety belt when driving on slopes. The frame can be f olded down. Remov e the two pins that hold the frame and f old it backw ards.

20 – English DRIVING Cutting tips • Localise and mark stones and other fixed objects to a void collision. • Star t with a high cutting height and reduce down until the required mowing results are obtained.
English – 21 Maintenance Maintenance schedule The f ollowing is a list of the maintenance which should be conducted on the machine. F or those points not descr ibed in this manual, visit an authorised ser vice workshop. 1) First change after 25 hours.
22 – English Maintenance Cleaning Clean the machine directly after use. It is much easier to w ash off grass cuttings bef ore they dr y . Oily dir t can be remov ed using a cold degreasing agent. Spra y on a thin la yer . Rinse at normal water pressure.
English – 23 Maintenance Adjustment of pump and alternator belt • Loosen the lower mounting scre w and upper adjustment screw a f ew turns. • T ension the belt by pulling the alternator along the track. It must be possib le to press the belt in about 1 cm with your thumb without too much pressure.
24 – English Maintenance The main filter has a paper inser t that is changed as follo ws. 1 Open the engine cov er . 2 Unscrew the filter co ver and remo v e the paper filter . Cleaning the air filter If the engine seems to lack po wer or does not run smoothly this ma y be because the air filter is clogged.
English – 25 Maintenance Check the saf ety system The machine is equipped with a saf ety system that pre vents star ting or driving under the following conditions . The engine must only be possib le to star t when the follo wing conditions are met: • The cutting unit is disengaged.
26 – English Maintenance Check the battery The machine is equipped with a maintenance-free batter y. The batter y has a ser vice window sho wing different colours . • White = Charge batter y • Green = OK. • Red = Change batter y . Clean the batter y and holder with soap/water solution.
English – 27 Maintenance 9 Remov e the service hatch. 10 Fit the rear universal driv e shaft. 11 Fit the locking chain to the univ ersal joint cover around the lifting beam. 12 Refit the ser vice cov er . 13 Star t the engine and lift the cutting unit halfwa y up .
28 – English Maintenance Service position for the cutting unit The cutting head can be placed in the service position to provide easy access f or cleaning, repairs and ser vicing. In the ser vice position the cutting unit is raised and loc ked in the vertical position.
English – 29 Maintenance 12 Secure the cutting unit with the saf ety belt, which is stored in the storage compar tment under the seat. Restoring fr om service position 1 Remov e the saf ety belt and place it in the storage compar tment. 2 Star t the engine and lower the cutting unit to the lo west position (floating mode).
30 – English Maintenance Tilt angle • Place the machine on a flat surf ace. • Check the tyre pressures . The tyre pressure should be 1.5 bar/150 kP a/22 PSI f or all wheels The air pressure in the cutting unit pivot wheel m ust be 150 kP a/1.5 bar/22 psi.
English – 31 Maintenance Adjustment of PT O belts 1 Tighten screw (4) until the slee ve bottoms against the frame brac ket. Tighten lock nut (3) whilst holding scre w (4) firmly .
32 – English Maintenance Change coolant Correct coolant le vel is important for the cooling system to function properly . Therefore the coolant le v el must be check ed regularly . The coolant should be visible when the filler cap is remo ved. Repeated coolant loss normally indicates leakage.

English – 35 Lubrication The drive shaft front support bearing Lubricate with a grease gun until the grease is f orced out. The drive shaft rear suppor t bearing 2 grease nipples. Lubricate with a grease gun until the grease is f orced out. Steering cylinder The steering cylinder has two grease nipples, one on each end.
36 – English Lubrication The f ollowing oil classes are recommended: • API Ser vice Class: CH4 or ACEA E5 or higher . Choose an oil with viscosity according to the temperature ranges in the figure: Do not mix diff erent types of oil. Replacing the engine oil Open the engine co ver.
