26 Resuming Playback From the Point Where You Stopped the Disc (Multi-disc Resume) The player stores th e point where you stopped the disc for up to 6 discs and resumes playback the next time you insert the same disc. If you store a resu me playback point for the seventh disc, the resume playback p oint for the first disc is deleted.
27 Playing Discs Using the DVD’s Menu A DVD is divided into long sections of a picture or a music feature called “titles.” When you play a DVD which contains several titles, you ca n select the title you want using the TOP MENU button.
28 Playing VIDEO CDs With PBC Functions (PBC Playback) PBC (Playback Control) allows you to play VIDEO CDs inte ractively by follow ing the menu on the TV screen. 1 Start playing a VIDEO CD with PBC functions. If the DVD VIDEO is recorded with multilingual tracks, you can also change the language.

43 Sound Adjustments TV Virtual Surround Settings (TVS) When you connect a stereo TV or 2 front speakers, TVS (TV Virtual Surround) lets you enjoy surround soun d effects by using sound imaging to create virtual rear speakers from the sound of the front spe akers (L: left, R: right) without using actual rear speakers.
44 ◆ TVS NIGHT Large sounds, such as explosions, are suppressed, but quieter sounds a re unaffected. This feature is useful when you want to hear the dialogue and enjoy the surround sound effects of “TVS WIDE” at low volume.

JPEG is image compression technology. You can play DATA CDs/DATA DVD that contain MP3 audio tracks or JPEG image files.
50 When you insert a DATA CD/DATA DVD and press H , the numbered tracks (or files) are played sequentially, from 1 through 7 . Any sub-albums/tracks (or files) contained within a currently selected album take priority over the next album in the same tree.
