T o protect small children, install the safety reversing sensor so that the beam will be no higher than 4"-6" above the garage floor .

Adjustment Step 1 Adjust the UP and DOWN Limits Do not make any limit adjustments until the safety reversing sensors are completely installed. 24 Limit adjustment settings regulate the points at which the door will stop when moving up or down. The door will stop in the up direction if anything interferes with door travel.
Adjustment Step 2 Adjust the Force Too much force on the door will interfere with the proper operation of the safety reverse system. The door might not reverse properly when required and could seriously injure or kill someone under it. Do not increase the force beyond the minimum amount required to close the door.

The remote control transmitter: The opener must learn the code of any new remote control. Page 29 explains how to program your receiver and how to erase all codes if required. Self service of your radio controls and remote controls is not recommended.
28 Operation of Y our Opener Weak or broken springs could allow an open door to fall (either rapidly or unexpectedly), resulting in serious injury, death or property damage. If possible, use the manual release rope and handle only when the door is fully closed.
