-5- Driver Inst allation Windows 2000 D-Link offers an N DIS 5.0 32-bit Minipo r t driver for the DGE-550SX network adapter supporting Windows 2000. T o insta ll the driver , proceed as follows: 1. After you have inst alled the network adapter in your comp uter , boot Windows 2000.

Select the check box Install from a list or specific location (Adva nced) . 4. Click N EXT . The menu “Please choose your sear ch and inst allation options” is displayed.

-8- Insta ll the driver T o start the inst allation script, proceed as follows: 1. Execute the following comma nd to start the script: cd DriverInstall ./install.sh 2. Select the option I NST ALLATION M ODE . The driver is now compiled and loaded. This process can t ake a few minutes.
