If the erasure pre- vention tab has been removed, the tape will begin playing automatically. If the erasure pre- vention tab is intact, press the PLAY button on the front panel or on the remote control.
20 Chapter 4 : Operating Your VCR Tracking “Tracking” is a term that describes how the TV/VCR “locks on” to the signal recorded on the tape. If the TV/VCR is not tracking correctly, the picture during playback will be jumpy and distorted.
