3 FIRST TIME USE THE OVEN It is advised to follow these instructions: ■ Fit the wir e racks as described at chapter “Use and care”. ■ Insert shelves and tray . ■ Switch on the empty oven on max to eliminate gr ease tracks from the heating elements.
4 IMPORT ANT PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDA TIONS After having unpacked the appliance, check to ensur e that it is not damaged. In case of doubt, do not use it and consult your supplier or a pr ofessionally qualified techni- cian. Packing elements (i.e. plastic bags, polystyr ene foam, nails, packing straps, etc.

12 GAS SUPPL Y : ■ The connection must be performed by an authorised person accor ding to the rele- vant standar ds. ■ Befor e connecting the appliance to the gas main, mount the brass conical adaptor onto the gas inlet pipe, upon which the gasket has been placed (figur es 1.
13 1. After connecting the gas supply , check the piping and connections for leaks using a soap and water solution. The pr esence of bubbles indicates a leak, tighten or r eplace connections as appropriate. Wa r ning: Do not use any naked flame to check for leaks.
14 CONVERSION PROCEDURE (to convert to LPG Pr opane) REPLACING THE INJECTORS This appliance is suitable for use with Natural gas or Pr opane gas (check the “gas type” sticker attached to the appliance).
15 MINIMUM BURNER SETTING ADJUSTMENT Check whether the flame spr eads to all burner ports when the burner is lit with the gas tap set to the minimum position. If some ports do not light, incr ease the minimum gas rate setting. Check whether the burner r emains lit even when the gas tap is turned quickly from the maximum to the minimum position.
16 LUBRICA TION OF THE GAS T APS ■ If the gas tap becomes stiff, it is necessary to dismantle it car efully and clean it with petr oleum spirit. Specialist high temperature r esistant gr ease should be used to lubricate the tap befor e replacing. ■ The operations must be carried out by an authorised person/service agent.
17 USE and CARE CAUTION: ■ This appliance must be used only for the task it has explicitly been designed for , that is for domestic cooking of foodstuffs. 30 COOKING HINTS: ■ To r educe the cooking time, you can turn the control knob to the max when you switch the plate on. After a short time you can set the contr ol knob to the position r equired for cooking.
31 CLEANING Befor e you begin cleaning make sure that the appliance is switched off. ■ Remove spillages and other types of incrustations. ■ Dust or food particles can be r emoved with a damp cloth. ■ If you use a deter gent, please make sure that it is not abrasive or scouring.
32 GENERAL FEA TURES The convection oven is equipped with 3 electrical heating elements: – 2 elements (upper and lower) for nor- mal oven cooking – 1 grill element, on the top of the oven, for grilling which must be done with the oven door closed.
33 TEMPERA TURE KNOB (Fig. 4.1) This only sets the cooking temperatur e and does not switch the oven on. Rotate clockwise until the r equired temperatur e is r eached (from 50°C to MAX ).
34 GRILLING The infra-r ed heating element is switched on. The heat is diffused by radiation. Use with the oven door closed and the thermostat knob to between 50°C and 225°C . For corr ect use see chapter “USE OF THE GRILL” Befor e using the grill, preheat for about five minutes.

37 COOKING ADVICE STERILIZA TION Sterilization of foods to be conserved, in full and hermetically sealed jars, is done in the fol- lowing way: a. Set the switch to position . b. Set the thermostat knob to position 185 °C and pr eheat the oven. c. Fill the dripping pan with hot water .
38 REGENERA TION Set the switch to position and the thermostat knob to position 150° C. Br ead becomes fragrant again if wet with a few drops of water and put into the oven for about 10 minutes at the highest temperatur e.
39 GENERAL FEA TURES As its name indicates, this is an oven that pr esents particular features fr om an opera- tional point of view . In fact, it is possible to insert 7 differ ent pr ograms to satisfy every cooking need.

42 VENTILA TED GRILL COOKING The infra-r ed ray grill and the fan are on. The heat is mainly diffused by radiation and the fan then distributes it thr oughout the oven. The temperatur e must be regulated between 50° and 200°C maximum with the ther- mostat knob.

44 USE OF THE GRILL Set the function selector knob to position and the thermostat knob between 50°C and 225°C maximum. Leave to warm up for appr oximately 5 minutes with the door closed . Intr oduce the food to be cooked, positioning the grill pan as close to the grill as possible.

53 BURNERS ■ They can be r emoved and washed only with soapy water .
