The projector is a multimedia projector that combines powerful and sophisticated features with easy-to-use, intuit ive controls. Built - in mult im edia feat ures include audio, a palett e of 16.77 million colors and active matrix liquid cr ysta l display (LCD) technology.

Picture ti lt and projecti on angle can be ad justed by rot ating the ADJUSTABLE FEET. Projection angle can be a djusted 0 to 6°. 1. Lift the f ront of the pro jector and press the FEET LOCK LATCHES on both sides of the projector.
Your projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 VAC. The projector automatically selects the correct input voltage. The projector is designed to work with single-phase pow er systems having a grounded neutral conductor. To reduce the risk of ele ct rical shock, do not plug into any o ther type of power system.

CONNECT1NG TO THE COMPUTER INPUT TERMINALS (1 and 2) Personal computers can be connected to the HDB15- pin (VGA) term inal on the pro j ector. • Connect th e computer to these termina ls using the VG A cable and VGA/Macin tosh adapter (prov ided).

Connect to the video and audio outpu t s of a VCR, video disc player, DVD player, video camera, satellite TV tuner or other AV equipment. CONNECTING TO THE VIDE O INPUT JACK Connect the video output from the v ideo eq uipment to t his jack using the video cable.

CONNECTING TO THE EXT. SP. JACK (3.5mm mi ni stereo ty pe) This jack outputs stereo speaker sound w hich viewing on screen. If you use external speaker system, connec t ster eo type external speaker jack. Internal speaker soun d is disconnected when speaker jack is connected.

This remote control unit is not only able to operate the projector but also usable as a w ireless m ouse f or a PC. One pointing pad and two click buttons are used f or wireless mouse operation. W ireless mouse is usabl e when PC mouse pointer is displayed on the screen.

Remote C ontrol Ba tter y Installation Using the Remote Control Unit Point the remote control toward the projector (Receiver window) when pressing the buttons. M axim um operating range for the remote control is about 16.4’ (5 m) and 60° f r ont and rear of the projector.
The projector has two types of operation: DIRECT OPERATION and MENU OPERATIO N. DIRECT OPERATIO N allows you to operate the projector by using one button w ithout showing the MENU. In MENU OPERATION mode, you display menus where you can ad j ust the projector’s settings.

Connect the projector to a source (Computer, VC R, Video Camera, Video Disc Pla y er, etc. ) using the appropriate terminals on the rear of the projector.
SOUND VOLUME ADJUSTMENT Press the VOLUME buttons on the remote control unit or on the projector to adjust the volume. The volume display will be displayed on the screen for a few seconds. Pressing volume (+) will increase volume and increase the number on the screen.
NO SHOW FUNCTION Press the NO SHO W button on the remote con tr ol unit. T he screen w ill chang e into black image and the “NO SHO W ” is displa yed on the s creen for a few sec onds. This function is cancelled when the NO SHO W button is pressed again or any other function button is pressed.
You can select a mode fr om MAIN MENU display among computer 1, computer 2 and video. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAIN MENU DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON(s) to select Computer or Video and press the SE LECT BUTTON.
SOUND ADJUSTMENT You can adjust the sound v olume and s ound mute ON/OF F switch in the MENU display. 1. Press t he MENU BUTTON and t he MAIN MENU DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON(s) to select SOUND and press the SELECT BUTTON.
COLOR SYSTEM SELECT This projec tor is compatibl e with the s ix maj or broadcas t video stand ards : PAL, SECAM , NT SC, NTSC 4.43, PA L-M and PA L- N (COLOR SYST EMs). When the color s ystem is set to “Auto position”, this projector can detect one o f 4 systems (PAL, SECAM, NTSC or NTSC 4.
VIDEO SOURCE SELECT This projector is com patible with 4 t ypes vide o source i nput: Com posite Vid eo, S- Video, Com ponent V ideo (Y, Cb , Cr) and Component Vid eo (Y, Pb, Pr). W hen the video so urce is set to “Auto” position this projector can detect one of 3 types Composite Video, S-Video and Component Video (Y, Cb,Cr) automatically.
PICTURE IMAGE ADJ USTMENT Picture adjustme nts have been preset at the fac tory. If y ou want to chan ge the setting , operate the projector as follows. 1. Press MENU BUTTON and the MAIN MEN U DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Press the PO INT LEFT/RI GH T BUTTON(s) to select IMAGE and pr ess the SELECT BUTTON.
PICTURE SCREEN ADJUSTMENT This projector has a picture screen r esize function, which enables you to display the image in desirable size. WIDE function This projector is able to project not onl y a normal video image (with 4 x 3 aspect r atio), but also a wider video image by compressing 4 x 3 image.
COMPUTER SYSTEM SELECT This projector is adjustable to different types of computer display signals based on VGA, SVGA, XGA or SXGA (See “COMPATIBLE COMPUTER SPECIFICATIONS” on the next page).

AUTO IMAGE FUNCTION The Auto image function is provided to automatically adjust Fine s y nc., To tal dots and Screen position for most computers. NOTE: This AUTO IMAGE function cannot be operated when “RGB”, “HDTV1O35i” or “H DTV1O8Oi” is selected on the COMPUTER SYSTEM SELECT menu.

PC ADJUSTMENT This projector can automaticall y d etect display signals from most personal computers currentl y distributed. However, some computers employ a special si gnal format which is different from the standard one and the projector cannot detect it.
6. Another dialog box “PC ADJUSTMENT DISPLAY 1” will appear and th e para m eter data for the Mode you have selected is shown in this dialog box. 7. The parameters will be fi lled with the data determined b y th e projector according to the present si gnal input.

REMOTE CONTROL CODE CHANGE (Mode 1 or Mode 2) This projector can be op er at ed w ith t wo diffe r ent code, one is factory-set normal code ( MODE 1) and the other one is extended code (M O DE 2) .
LA MP A GE The Lamp age function is designed to reset the l amp replacem ent monitor timer. W hen replacing the lamp, reset the lamp replacement monitor timer by using this function. NOTE: Do not reset the LAMP REPLACEM ENT MONITOR TIMER, except after the lamp is replaced.
TEMPERATURE WARNING IN DICATOR The TEMPERAT URE WARNING INDI CATOR f lashes red when the internal temperature of the projector exceeds the nor m al temperat ure. Possible causes for the temperature warning may be: 1. Ventilat ion slot s of the projector are blocked.
LAMP REPLACEMENT If the lam p fails to c ome on and the lam p m onitor on the pr ojector lig ht is orang e, you m ust r eplace the lam p. • For continued safety , replace with a lamp as sembl y of the same ty pe. • A l l ow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before you open t he l amp cover.
CLE ANING THE LENS Follow these steps to clean the projection lens: 1. Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a so f t, dry cleaning cloth. Av oid using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals mi g ht scratch the lens.
