English 22 4. ADJUSTMENT 4. ADJUSTMENT 4-1. Screen Adjustment Screen adjustment s for the LCD monitor shoul d be used in suppressing screen flickering and also for adjusting the screen to its proper po sition. There is only one correct position f or each display mode.

Step b y step, adjustment is provided by t he wizard guide. ( If using the W indows, the program can be directly run from the menu screen of the CD-ROM.

Select the <Phase> and el iminate the horizontal flickering, blurring or bars by usi ng the Right and Left button s. NO TE z Hori zontal bars may not completely disappear from the sc reen depending on the PC .

English 6. TROUBLESHOOTING 31 3. Display position is incorrect. Adjust the image position using the <Position> (p . 24). The two display modes, V GA 720 × 400 (70 Hz) and 320 × 200 (70 Hz), hav e the same signal timings. Using this adjustment selects the appropriate display mode.

English 9. GLOSSARY 37 9. GLOSSAR Y Cloc k With th e analog input signal di splay , the analog signal is converted to a digital signal by the LCD circuitry . T o convert the signal correctly , the LCD monitor needs to produce the same number clock pulse as the dot clock of the graphics system.
English 38 9. GLOSSARY Phase The phase adjustment decides the sampling timing po int for converting the analog input signal to a digital sign al. Adjusting th e phase after th e clock adjustme nt will produce a clear screen. Range Adjustment The Range Adjustment controls the level of output signal range to display the whole color gradation.
