7 COOKWARE Baking trays, dishes etc ., should not be plac ed directly against t he grid c overing t he fan at the bac k of the oven . Do not use bak ing trays larger t han 30c m x 35cm (12” x 14”) as th ey will restric t the c irculatio n of heat and may affect perfo rmance.

14 THE GRILL PAN AND HANDLE The grill pan has a rem ovable h andle. To insert the handl e, press the b utton on the hand le with the thumb and piv ot slight ly upwards ins ertin g the lip in to the w idest part of the br acket. Move the handle towar ds the left, lower into pos ition a nd release the but ton.
15 • The grill pan grid is rever sibl e. Th is is usef ul if you want t o cook f oods of v arying t hicknes ses. As a general rule, br ead for t oasting sho uld b e placed on the gri d in th e ‘high’ posi tion in th e gril l pan.

17 USES OF THE TOP OV EN The Top oven is the sma ller of t he two ove ns. The Top oven is a co nvent ional ov en, i.e. w ithout a fa n. It is conven ient wher e sma ller qu antities or convenienc e foods ar e being c ooked.
18 HINTS AND TI PS • Use the Top ov en w hen you wa nt to war m pl ates. Use a sett ing of 80°C – 1 00°C on th e oven temperature c ontro l. • For the bes t resul ts use one s helf in the Top oven. For the bes t resu lts food sho uld be pl aced in the cen tre of t he oven.

20 USES OF THE FAN OVEN The Fan oven is partic ularly sui table for cook ing larger quantit ies of food, or for w eekend or celebrat ion m eals. 21 TO FIT THE FAN OVEN SHELVES The shelves s hould be fitted w ith the str aight r ods uppermos t on the fr ame and t he forms tow ards the back of th e oven. If not fitted c orrect ly the ant i-tilt and safety stop mech anism will be affect ed. HINTS AND TI PS • Arrange the she lves in the r equ ired posit ions before switch ing the oven on.

29 THE OVEN CLEANING CYCLE – BOTH OVENS 1. Remove oven sh elves, wirework runner s and bakeware from ov en. 2. If cleaning the t op ove n, leave the gri ll deflec tor in place. 3. Turn the required oven temper ature c ontrol to 220°C an d allow th e oven to run f or an hour or s o.
30 • Use minimal, if any, extra oil or fat w hen roas ting meat, pot atoes on ly requ ire brus hing w ith f at before cookin g. Extr a fat in th e oven dur ing roasting will inc rease s plashin g and s oilage. • It is NOT necess ary to add water to a m eat tin when roasting.
