9 Befor e Using for the first time Setting the Time 3 The oven only operates when the clock has been set. The clock display flashes when the appliance is first connected, or after a power failur e. 1. Press the H buttons briefly . 2. Start setting the current time within 5 seconds, us- ing the + or - buttons.
10 Initial Cleaning Before using the oven for the first time you should clean it thoroughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abrasive cleaners! The surface could be damaged. 3 T o clean metal fronts use commerciall y availa- ble cleaning agents . 1.
11 Using the Rings 3 Also refer to the operating instructions for your built-in hob. It contains important information on ovenware, operati on, cleaning and car e. Heat settings • Heat settings can be set fr om 1-9. • Intermediate positions ar e possible for settings 2- 7.
12 Cooking with the Rings 1. For heating up/br owning, select a high heat setting. 2. As soon as steam starts to form or the oil is hot, turn back to the heat setting necessary for further cooking. 3. T o stop cooking, tur n back to the zero position.
13 Using the Oven Switching the Oven On and Of f 1. T urn the oven function s switch to the r equired function. 2. T urn the temperature selection swi tch to the re- quired temperatur e. The red oven power indicator is illuminated while the oven is in use.
14 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interi- or , e.g., for clea ning. The heating element is not in use. ¥ Hot Air For roasting and baking on up to thr ee levels si- multaneously .
15 Inserting the general purpose pan, grill, and tray Inserting the general purpose pan and tray: The trays have a little bulge on the left and right edg- es. These are provided as positio ning guides and must always be located towards the rear when in- serting the tray .
16 Clock Functions Countdown G T o set a countdow n. A signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven. Cook time d T o set how long the oven is to be in use. End time e T o set when the oven is to switch off again.
17 Countdown G 1. Press the countdown G button. 2. Using the + or - buttons, set the desir ed time. 3 By pressing the countdown button again G you are able to see the remaining time. Several seconds after the countdown function has been set the time display will again show the curr ent time.
18 Cook Time d 1. Press the Cook Time d button. 2. Using the + or - buttons, set the desir ed cooking time (max. 10 hours). The display will switch back to the time after appr ox. 5 second s have lapsed. Th e “AUTO” symbol indi- cates that the oven is switched to the automatic op- eration mode.
19 End e 1. Press the End e button. 2. Using the + or - buttons, set the desir e d time that the oven should switch itself off. The “AUTO” symbol will light up and the time will be shown in the display . The oven will automatically switch itself on.
20 Cook Time d and End e functions com- bined 3 Cook Time d and End e can be used simulta- neously if the oven is to automatically switch on and off at a later time . 1. Select the oven functions and temp erature. 2. Using the Cook Time d function, set the period of time that the dish requir es to cook.
21 Changing the time 3 The time can only be changed if no automatic function (Cook Time d or End e ) has been set. 1. Briefly press the Manual Set H button. 2. Using the + or - buttons, set the curr ent time. After 5 seconds the clock will display the time set.
22 Meat probe Ensures that the oven switches its elf off at the exact moment in which a set core temperatur e is attained. The meat probe is best used together with the up- per/lower elements and hot air func tions. Please take note of two tempera- tur es: – The oven temperature: see Roasting Chart – The core temperatur e: see Meat Probe Chart.
23 5. As soon as the current cor e temperature equals the set cor e temperature, a signal will sound and the oven will automatically swit ch itself of f.
24 Mechanical Door Lock When the appliance is deliver e d, the door lock is de- activated. Activate the door lock Pull the safety catch forwards until it locks in place. Open the oven door: 1. Shut the door . 2. Press the safety catch and keep it depr essed.
25 Uses, T ables and Tips Baking For baking use the hot air ¥ oven function or convention al ¡ . 3 When baking, remove the fat filter , as other- wise the baking time will be longer and the surface will be browned unevenly . Baking tins • Cake tins made of dark m etal and coated tins ar e suitable for conventional ¡ .
26 General Information • Always count the shelf positions from the bottom upwards. • Insert baking trays with the sloped edge to the front! • Always place cake tins in the middle of the shelf. • Using hot air ¥ or conventional ¡ you can also bake with two cake tins simultaneously by placing them side by side on the shelf.

36 Drying with Hot Air Use shelves lined with greaseproof paper or baking paper . Y ou will achieve a better result if you switch the oven off half way thr ough the drying time. Open and leav e to cool, preferably over nig ht. Then finish drying the dried food.
37 Cleaning and Car e 1 Wa r n i n g : For safety reasons cleaning the ap- pliance with a steam jet cleaner or high-pr e s- sure water cleaner is not permissible ! Exterior of the Appliance • Wipe the fr ont of the appliance with a soft c loth dipped in warm soapy water .
38 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be r emoved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the front of the rail away fr om the oven wall (1) and then unhitch at the back (2).
