However , for a consistent image with DAEs, we r ecommend you install it with th e check light in the upper right corner , as sh own below .

3 Monitoring DPE Status 3-3 Ser vicing and Upgrading a DPE Disk Active 1 per disk m odule slot Green Off when the mo dule slot is empty or contains a fill er module. Flashing (mostly off) when the drive is powered up but not spinning; this is a nor mal par t of the spin-up sequence, occurr ing during the spin-up del a y of a slot.

If the Check ligh t for a CRU r emains on, r eplace the CRU as soon as possible.
3 Handling CRUs 3-5 Ser vicing and Upgrading a DPE Since you can replace or add any CRU without slid ing the DPE out of the cabinet, you do not have to u se cabinet anti-tip dev ices when you upgrade or service a DPE.
