10. Unscrew and remove one lockwasher and screw from each end of the upper light plate cover on the fan motor housing. Do not remove the screw closest to the light holes (Figure 9). NOTE: The screw closest to the light holes, holds the light socket to the light plate cover .

1. Securely attach the hanger bracket to the outlet box using the two screws supplied with the outlet box (Figure 16). 11 Check to see that all connections are tight, including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire connectors, except for the ground wire. Do not operate fan until blades are in place.
5. Unscrew the finial nut, hex jamnut, and rubber lockwasher from the light kit threaded nipple (Figure 22). Retain the lockwasher , hex jamnut and finial nut for future installation. 6. Position the glass shade over the threaded nipple in the light kit plate assembly (Figure 23).
