When recor ding, y ou will need to select a recor ding f ormat betw een Video mode and VR mode depend- ing on the disc format. The disc format for D VD-R is alwa ys “Video format, ” so a recording format will be “Video mode”.

Settings for the r ecor ding format to a blank disc 28 Fo rmatting a disc Recording When inserting a blank disc , the unit starts to initialize the blank disc.
