5 I nstallation I nstruc tions I nlet Hoses 1 Co nnect the straight ends of the white inlet hoses to the taps. (T here are washers fitted in both ends). 2 Co nnect the elbow ends of the white inlet hoses to the machine inlet valves. Inlet valves ar e marked on the back of the machine.
6 I nstallation I nstruc tions Wa t er Supply ■ F or best operating conditions your hot wat er should be appro ximately 65˚C. Y our hot water should not exceed 75˚C or your cold wat er exceed 35˚C. T emperatures above these ma y cause the machine to fault or cause damage to the machine .

8 B. Pr ess POWER C. How Dir ty? ■ Pr ess the UP or DOWN arrows to change the HOW DIRT Y level to suit the amount of soil in your clothes. ■ If y our clothes hav e “ general” stains press the UP arr ow until the red ST AINED light comes on. (Refer t o page 10).
9 H. Options Menu ■ Choose any options by scr olling through the Options Menu. ■ Pr ess the OPTIONS button. Scroll through the options by using the UP and DOWN arrows. ■ To select an option press ADJUST . ■ Pr ess HOME to r eturn to the main scr een.
10 How Dir t y? Y our Intuitive ™ washer will automatically choose the medium soil level (three HOW DIRTY lights). This setting is fine for y our average load , but some loads may need mor e or less washing depending on the amount of soil on the clothes.
11 Eco Active™ W ash Eco A ctive™ wash is available on Intuitive Ec o™ models. The Eco Activ e ™ wash in your Intuitive Eco ™ is a unique washing method that uses a combination of front loader and top loader washing t echnologies .
12 Lidlock Y our Intuitive ™ has a lidlock, which locks when your machine is spinning. This ensures the lid cannot be opened during hazardous par ts of the c ycle, pr oviding added safety for y ou and your family .

14 All About The Options Button Y our Intuitive ™ has a ‘ menu’ of wash options that you can use. The buttons and the display scr een on the right hand side of the panel are used to select and display the diff erent wash options . To S elec t a W ash Option 1 P ush either the Options UP or Options DOWN arrow .
15 The Options F or all the options mentioned below you firstly need to ent er the OPTIONS menu (by pressing either the UP or DOWN Options buttons). Then use the Option ’ s arrows to scr oll through the options until the one you want is display ed. P ress ADJUST to select it, and HOME to r eturn to the main screen.
16 The Options 3. Sav e W ater Intuitive Eco ™ pr ovides an excellent opportunit y to save on wat er , with two water saving options, the traditional SA VE W A TER option and the ECO (SA VE W A TER++) option. SA VE W A TER minimises the amount of water used.
17 The Options 7. Drip Dr y Pr essing DRIP DRY will pause the washer at the end of the rinse, allowing you to r emove drip - dr y garments before the washer goes into final spin. The washer will beep and display a message to tell you that it is waiting f or another instruc tion.
18 A djusting the W ash Settings After using your Intuitive ™ washer you ma y want to fine-tune some of the options to suit your wash needs. An ything changed in this menu is a permanent change, unless ‘Reset Defaults’ is selected, see page 20.
19 A djusting the W ash Settings S3 Default Rinse = Rinse Default Options This menu changes the rinse option that is automatically selected when you first turn your machine on. (Spray and Deep is the standard rinse default for IW812, IW712 and IW512. IWM12 and IWL12 default to a Double Deep rinse).
20 A djusting the W ash Settings S6 End of C ycle Beeps The beeps signalling the end of the cycle can be set to zer o, fiv e or fifteen. ■ A ccess the Adjust Settings Menu (refer t o page 18). ■ Scroll to the END OF CY CLE BEEPS screen. ■ Use the ADJUST button to highlight the number of beeps you want.
21 Lif ec ycles™ Y our Intuitive ™ has a range of special Lifecycles ™ to make washing even easier . 1 P ush the LIFECY CLES button. 2 Use the OPTIONS button to scr oll through the fiv e lifecycle menus, or y ou can press the Lifecycles ™ button repeatedly .
22 Lif ec ycles™ L2 F amily Cy cles NAPPY RINSE A cycle for rinsing nappy sanitisers from cloth nappies. A slow spin, deep rinse , and a spray rinse.
23 Lif ec ycles™ L3 Sports SWEA TY The clothes you exer cise in require a little extra care to remov e the odours and dir t that tend to penetrate into the fabric structure. This cycle incorporates a warm/hot regular wash with a fast spin to clean sweaty spor ts clothes.
24 Lif ec ycles™ L4 Stains There ar e a number of stains that need special treatments due to their unique compositions . Some water temperatur es actually set in stains rather than remove them. Use these Lifecycles ™ to care for these specific stains .
25 Lif ec ycles™ L5 Extras BOWL CLEAN If y ou regularly use fabric softener , (ref er Scrud page 30), or only wash in cold water we r ecommend that you put your washer through a bowl clean cycle 2 – 4 times a year . This cy cle has a hot Eco A ctive ™ wash, a hot agitate and a 2-hour soak .
26 Sor ting and L oading To get the best wash results it pays t o sor t your clothes befor e washing . Care Labels Care labels will tell y ou about the fabric of the garment and how it should be washed. Soil Sor t clothes according to the type and amount of soil.
27 W ashing Difficult I tems W ashing W oollens The WOOL Cy cle is for washing MA CHINE W ASHABLE w oollens. The fibres of these w oollens have been tr eated to pr event felting when they are machine-washed. Most hand k nitted garments are not made of machine washable wool and we r ecommend that you wash them by hand.
28 De ter gent Choosing the Right Detergent We r ecommend the use of domestic detergents (powder , liquid or tablets). Soap flakes, e.g . L ux Soap Flakes, or g ranulated soap pow ders should not be used.

30 F abric Sof tener How the F abric Sof tener is Dispensed The fabric softener goes into the dispenser on the top of the agitator . Dur ing rinse the machine spins to release the fabric softener , delivering it down the agitator stem as the machine fills for the final deep rinse.
31 Caring F or Y our A utowasher When Y ou Hav e F inished ■ Tu rn off the taps to prevent the chance of flooding should a hose burst. ■ Unplug the machine from the wall socket. Cleaning Y our W asher Use a soft damp cloth and wipe dr y. Do not use chemical or scouring cleaners as they can damage the paint and plastic sur faces.

Y our machine is capable of diagnosing its own problems and if it has a pr oblem it will beep and display a message telling you what is wr ong.
34 If Y our I ntuitive™ Beeps F or Help “I am not getting any W A TER” The taps have not been turned on. I nlet hose screens may be blocked. The hoses may be kink ed (refer t o page 5). The drain hose is too low or the drain hose is pushed into the standpipe too far and the wat er is siphoning out of the machine.
35 Operating P roblems Pr essing POWER does not turn the machine on. Is the power switched on at the wall? Unplug the machine from the wall . Wait 60 seconds , plug back in and turn the power back on again. Co uld your household power supply be at fault? T r y plugging in another electr ical appliance.
36 All About W ash P roblems Listed below are possible causes and solutions t o some common wash problems . CREASING. Ov er loading the washer or dr yer . Select CREASABLES as this will change the rinse and selec t a slower , shor ter spin speed. Or change the fast spin speed from 1000 rpm to 700 rpm (Refer t o Max Spin Speed page 17).
