12 Service Icemaker operation (all models) F ollett’ s icemaker consists of fiv e distinct functional systems cov ered in detail as follows: • W ater system • Electrical control system • Mecha.
13 W ater system The water le vel in the e vaporator is controlled b y a f eed solenoid and le vel detecting sensors . Ref erencing the diagram belo w , water sensing rods e xtend down into the reser v oir at the end of the e vapor ator assembly . The system works via electrical conductivity as follows: One of the longest probes is a common.
14 Electrical system Normal control boar d operation The PC board indicator lights provide all the inf or mation necessar y to determine the machine’ s status.
15 T est points: The Horizon PC board incor porates on-board test points that can be used to determine various electrical outputs. The test point holes allow a standard probe to be inser ted for quic k voltage measurement. F or 208-230 systems, use TP-4 (L2) as the common for testing outputs f or solenoids, motors, etc.
