Jo t uses mode marks to divide the input ar ea in to dif fer ent regions so where you write determines if th e character will be read as upper case, lower case, numeric or a symbol. Before Settin g Up the Pen Centra 20 0 15 Chapter 2 Using the PenCen tra 200 This chapter covers the fundamental concepts , basic system operation and use, and system functions of your PenCentra 200. You s hould familiarize yourself with this information before you attempt to operate the system.

Using the Pe n 17 Usin g the Pen 2 You can use the PenCentra pen to generate and capture electronic “ ink ” , to s e lec t items, and to navigate through programs on the pen tablet. The pen can be used like a two button mouse when used in conjunction with th e right-m ous e butto n hotpad.

Inserting/ Removing PC Cards 19 Insertin g/Removing PC Cards 2 There are two PC Card slots in your PenCentra 2 00 to support Type I or Type II PC Cards. Ensure that the card is PC Card 2.1-complia nt and that the proper CE drivers are available to support the card.
20 Using th e PenCen tra 200 Poweri ng t he PenCe ntr a 200 2 The PenCentra 200 can be powered by either its rechargeable battery pack or by AC power adapter. Removing and Installing a Battery Pack 2 To remove the PenCentra 200 battery pack, perform the following steps: 1.

Allowed opera tions symbol s a re +, -, × , *, ÷ , :, /, %. The command to perform a calculation is th e equal sign (=) at the end of the formula.
