8 1.2 T ransponder Unit The transponder un it can be installed on a desk top or flush m ounted in a panel. 10 1.3 Junction Box Mount the junction box where the junction b ox is protected from rain and water splash. Mounting 1. Open the lid of the junction box and fix the junction box with four t apping screws (5x20). Av oid bundling the 3.3 m cable of th e junction box together wit h any power cable.
11 1.4 Power Supply (option) The length of the power cable bet ween the power supply and the transpo nder unit is 3.5 m. Keep this length in mind when selecting a mounting locatio n. A longer cable should not be us ed – voltag e drop will result, af fecting performance.
