Clock/Minute Minder Operation (C262E , C362E & C363E) 10 CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. SYMBOLS A ‘Bell’ symbol will light up when you select a M inute Minder P e riod and will remain lit for the period set.
11 Clock/Minute Minder Operation (C262E , C362E & C363E) Here you can set a time period of up to 10 hours , that will coun t down. When it reaches zero , the timer will emit an audible tone. For Example: If you set 20 minutes , the audible tone will occur 20 minutes later .

Sealed Hob General Information (C262E) USE OF HO TPLA TES Under no circumstances should the hob be used with aluminium fo il in c ontact with the hob surface. T urn the control to 6 f or fast cooking. T o cook more slowly or simmer , turn the control to a lo wer setting according to the size of the sauc epan and the amount of liquid.
20 ● Use good quality flat-based cookware on all electric heat sources. ● Ensure pans hav e clean, dry bases before use . ● Ensure pans match size of heating area. ● Remember good quality pans retain heat well, so generally only a low or medium heat is necessary .

24 Do not cook directly on the hob surface without a cooking utensil, as t his will result in damage to the surface of the hob. Do not use the hob as a worktop surface as damage may occur to the smooth sur face of the hob . Do not drag or slide utensils on the hob surface, as this will cause scratches in the surface of the hob.
Below are some guidelines to help you make the right choice of ut ensils. T o obtain a satisfac tory per formance fr om a ceramic hob and to av oid unnecessary damage, we recommend the use of good quality utensil s with smooth flat bases. 1. Purchasing a new pan will not nec essarily mean it will have a flat base , always check bef ore buying.

‘S’ SLO W setting This is used for slow c ooking, k eeping food warm and warming plat es for short periods. Ex tra care should be taken when warming bone china, as i t may be damaged in a hot oven. Adv antages of “SL OW” cooking are: The oven sta ys cleaner because there is less splashing .
1. Plastic or n ylon pads 2. Household abrasiv e powders and scourers . These may scratch the surface. 3. Oven chemical cleaners , aerosols and ov en pads. Caustic cleaners such as these will etch the surface and attack the metal frame. 4. Bath and sink cleaners ma y mark the sur face.
Car e and Cleaning Note: W e do not recommend the use of dec orativ e cov ers over the hot hotpla tes as these can hold condensation and cause corrosion. Accidental operation with a co ver in place can cause intense heat. Never place saucepan lids on the h otpla tes, as this may cause corrosion.
Refer to the instructions below for cleaning the ‘Stay clean ’ p anels. . The surfaces of the ‘Stay clean’ oven liners are trea ted on the mottled face with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatures of 220˚C (42 5˚F) or abov e, the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destroy ed.
Remove the grill pan and the wire grid food support, it is best to wash these items immediately after use to prevent stains fr om being burnt on when used again. Wipe out the Grill compartment, use a fine steel wool soap pad to remo ve stubborn stains from the grill deflector plate (C361E & C366E) and the floor of the compartment.
Car e and Cleaning 39 Take particular care not to damage the inner sur fac e of the door inner glass that is coated with a heat reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abrasi ve po wder , which will scratch the glass . Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to an y sharp mechanical blows.
