7 CL OCK/MINUTE MINDER OPER A TION TIMER FUNCTION BUT T ONS Minute Minder Here you can set a time period of up to 23 hours 59 minutes , tha t will count down. When it reaches zero , the timer will emit an audible tone. For Example: If you set 20 minutes, the audible tone will occur 20 minutes later .
The hotplate lid is fitted with a saf et y device which cuts off the gas supply t o the hotplate burners unless the lid is fully open. Do not use the sa fety device as a means of controlling the hotplat e burners.
9 SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fa t . 2. Never leav e oil or fat unattended during the heating or cooli ng period. 3. Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan. 4. Always dry food thoroughly bef ore frying, and lower it slo wly into the hot oil or fat.

The ‘S’ setting on the main oven thermostat can be used f or slow cookin g. PREP ARING FOOD FOR SLOW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘S’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours. They will ‘hold’ at this setting f or a fur ther hour but marked deterioration in appearance will be noticed in some cases.
Switch off the electricity supply and allow to c ool before cleaning the cook er . Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills so on after they occur to pr ev ent them from becoming burnt on.

16 CARE AND CLEANING Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass tha t is coated with a hea t reflec tiv e lay er . Do not use scouring pads , or abrasiv e powder , which will scratch the glass . Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blo ws.

SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotplat e level. This requir es a minimum distance of 600mm between cupboard units of hotplat e he ight. When installing next to a tall cupboard , par tition or wall, for a minimum distance of 400mm abov e hotplate level, allo w a side clearance of at least 65mm.
LEVELLING T wo rear wheels and two front feet are fitt ed which can be adju sted up or do wn to set the height (915mm) and level the cooker . 1. The rear wheels can be raised or low ered from the BACK of the cooker by adjusting the levelling screws ‘ A ’ in the plinth.
23 ELECTRICAL C ONNECTION Connection to the electricity supply should be made via a properly ear thed, readily accessible wall socket which is adjacent to , and not more than 1.25m away fr om the appliance and capable of electrical isolation.
