Phone calls Making calls Ther e ar e sev eral con v enient methods to mak e a call from y our phone. Most SIM car ds are pr eset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is pr o vided by y our mobile opera tor . When prompted, ent er the preset PIN, then tap Ent er .
44 Phone calls Calling a speed dial number Pres s HOME, and then tap Phone . On the phone k eypad, pr ess and hold the number that is as sociated with the c ontact you want t o call. The number 1 on the phone k e ypad is generally r eserv ed for y our v oicemail.
Phone calls 45 Making an emer gency call Y ou can mak e emergency calls fr om y our phone e ven if y ou don’t hav e a SIM card ins talled or y our SIM card has been block ed. Pres s HOME, and then tap Phone . Dial the international emer gency number for y our locale (for ex ample, 000), and then tap Call .
46 Phone calls Rec eiving calls When y ou r eceiv e a phone call fr om a contact, the Incoming call scr een appears and displa ys the caller ID icon, name , and phone number of the calling party .
Phone calls 4 7 Rejecting an inc oming call Depending if the display is on or off , you need t o:: If the display is on, tap Decline t o reject and send the call t o y our v oice mail. If the display is off , the display will turn on sho wing the Lock scr een.
48 Phone calls Using in-call options When a call is in pr ogres s, use the buttons onscr een to mut e or unmute the micr ophone or to turn on or off the speak erphone. Y ou can also pres s MENU to open the call options t o let you add a call, place the call on hold, mut e the microphone , and more .
Phone calls 49 Setting up a conf erenc e call Mak e a call to the first c onfer ence call participant. When connect ed, pr ess MENU, tap A dd call , and then dial the number of the second participant. The firs t participant is put on hold when you dial the sec ond participant.

People About People In People , y ou can easily manage y our communications with c ontacts via phone, messaging, and email. Y ou can also vie w updates on their F acebook and Flickr ac counts.
People 55 People scr een The People scr een giv es y ou easy ac cess t o all y our contacts, as w ell as ev en faster ac cess t o the people and groups of people y ou contact most often.

If y ou’re sending the mes sage to se v eral phone numbers, separ ate the phone numbers with a comma. As y ou enter information, an y matching phone numbers fr om y our contacts lis t are display ed.

Messages 73 W AP push messages W AP push messages contain a w eb link. Often, the link will be to do wnload a file that y ou hav e r equest ed, for e xample a ring t one. When y ou r eceiv e a W AP push message, a notification icon is display ed in the status bar .

Email 105 Mail The Mail applica tion lets you send and r eceiv e email from y our webmail or other ac counts, using POP3 or IMAP .
