2 Getting to Know the HUAWEI E5331 Mobile Wi-Fi Connection Scenarios A Wi-Fi device or compute r can be connected to the Internet through the Mobile Wi -Fi. The actual connection pr ocedure depends on th e oper ating system of the Wi-Fi device or comput er .

11 Step2: Establish a Wi-Fi Co nnectio n (T ake a comput er with Wind ows XP operating system as an example) 1. Make sure that the Wi-Fi f unction of the Mobile Wi-Fi and the computer is e nabled. 2. Select Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Wire less Network Connection .
12 Step3: Access the Internet After you establish a Wi-Fi connection successf ully , you can acc ess the Internet using the following modes. Mode Operations Auto After the Mobile WiFi is pow ered on , it will connect to the Internet automatically .
13 Note: Launch the web manageme nt page to select the mode fo r accessing the Interne t. Y ou can choose whet her to enable the Mobile WiFi to connect to the Internet automatically even while you ar e roaming. If this function is disabled, the Mobile WiFi automatically disconnects f rom the Internet while yo u are roaming.
14 Daily Use Pow e r S av i n g Mo d e If no operation is p erformed on the Mobile Wi Fi within a pr eset period, it will go to the standby mode. In this mode, the battery indicator blinks slowly in green, and the other indicators are off .
15 Restorin g Factory D efaults If you forget the cha nges you have made to some parameters, yo u may restore fa ctory defaults and reconfigure the Mo bile WiFi. T o restore t he factory defaults, press and hold the RESE T button until all the indicators ar e off .
16 Example 1: Wi-Fi Connec tion to Game Machine (Sony PSP) 1. T urn on the PSP WLAN switch. 2. Select Settings > Network Settings. 3. Select Infrastructu re Mode to connect to your local Wi-Fi access point. 4. Select New Connection to specify an easy to remember co nnection name.
