This machine is built f or the greatest ef fi ciency and rapid mo wing primar ily of large areas. Controls in one place and a h ydrostatic transmission regulated by steering controls also contr ibute to the machine ’ s perf or mance.

English- 7 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Be careful when rounding fi x ed objects, so that the blades do not hit them. Nev er drive o ver f oreign objects. • Only use the machine in da ylight or in other well-lit conditions . K eep the machine a saf e distance from holes or other irregularities in the ground.
English- 8 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Driving on Slopes Driving on slopes is one of the operations where the risk is greatest that the driver will lose control or the machine will tip ov er , which can result in serious injur y or death. All slopes require e xtra caution.
English- 9 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Children • Serious accidents may occur if y ou f ail to be on guard f or children in the vicinity of the machine. Children are often attracted to the machine and mowing w ork. Nev er assume that children will sta y put where you last sa w them.
English- 10 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Allow the engine to cool bef ore refueling. Do not smoke . Do not fi ll fuel in the vicinity of sparks or open fl ames. • If leaks arise in the fuel system, the engine must not be star ted until the problem has been resolv ed.
English- 11 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Ne v er use the machine indoors or in spaces lacking proper v entilation. The e xhaust fumes contain carbon mono xide, an odorless, poisonous, and lethal gas . • Stop and inspect the equipment if you run ov er or into anything.

English- 13 PRESENTATION Choke Control The choke control is used f or cold star ts in order to provide the engine with a richer fuel mixture. F or cold star ts the control shall be pulled out.
English- 14 PRESENTATION Engaging the Mo wer Dec k In order to engage the mow er deck, pull the button out; the mower dec k is disengaged when the button is depressed. P arking Brake The parking brake is f ound on the left of the machine. Pull the lev er backward to activ ate the brak e and f orward to release it.
English- 15 PRESENTATION Adjusting the Seat The seat can be adjusted lengthwa ys. When making adjustments, the le ver under the front edge of the seat is mov ed to the left (as seen by the driv er in the seat), after which the seat can be mov ed backward or f orward.
English- 16 PRESENTATION Refueling The machine has two fuel tanks , one on each side just behind the seat. The tanks take 22 liters each. The engine shall be run on a minimum of 87- octane unleaded gasoline (no oil mix). Environmentally adapted alkylate gasoline can be used bene fi cially .
English- 17 PRESENTATION Lifting Lever f or the Mower Deck The lifting le v er is used to place the mow er deck in the tr anspor t position or one of the 17 diff erent cutting height positions.
English- 18 RUNNING Running Before Starting • Read the sections Saf ety Instructions and Presentation bef ore star ting the machine. • P erform the daily maintenance before star ting (see Maintenance Schedule in the Maintenance section). • Check that there is suf fi cient fuel in the fuel tanks.
English- 19 RUNNING 4. Mov e the steer ing controls outward to the lock ed (outer) neutral position. 5. Mov e the throttle to the middle position. 6. If the engine is cold, the choke control shall be pulled out to its end position.
English- 20 RUNNING 7. Open the fuel tap f or the selected fuel tank. 8. Press in and turn the ignition key to the star t position. 9. When the engine star ts, immediately release the ignition ke y back to the drive position.
English- 21 RUNNING 10. Press the choke control in g radually when the engine has star ted. 11. Set the desired engine speed with the throttle. Allow the engine to run at a moderate speed, ” half throttle ” , f or 3-5 minutes bef ore loading it too heavily .
English- 22 RUNNING 3. Select the cutting height by placing the peg in one of the holes. Lock the peg on the inside with the pin. 4. Press in the stop handle, counter hold, and carefully mov e the lifting lev er f orward from the tr anspor t position tow ard the peg.
English- 23 RUNNING Mowing Tips • Localise and mark rocks and other fi x ed objects in order to av oid collisions. • Begin with a high cutting height and reduce it until the desired mowing result is attained. • The mowing result will be best with a high engine speed (the blades rotate rapidly) and lo w speed (the rider moves slowly).
English- 24 RUNNING Stopping the Engine F eel free to let the engine idle a minute in order to attain normal operating temperature bef ore stopping it if it has been worked hard. A void idling the engine f or longer periods, as there is a risk of the spar k plugs gaining a coating.
English- 25 MAINTENANCE Maintenance Maintenance Schedule The f ollowing is a list of maintenance procedures that m ust be perf ormed on the machine. F or those points not described in this manual, visit an authorized ser vice workshop.
English- 26 MAINTENANCE 1) First change after 8 hours. When oper ating with a heavy load or at high ambient temperatures , replace e very 50 hours. 2) In dusty conditions, cleaning and replacement are required more often. 3) For daily use, the machine shall be lubricated twice weekly .
English- 27 MAINTENANCE Ignition System The engine is equipped with an electronic ignition system. Only the spark plugs require maintenance. F or recommended spark plugs, see T echnical Data. 1. Remov e the ignition cable shoe and clean around the spark plug.

English- 29 MAINTENANCE Checking the Engine's Cooling Air Intake Check that the engine ’ s cooling air intake is free from leav es, grass , and dir t. If the cooling air intake is clogged, engine cooling deteriorates, which can lead to engine damage.
English- 30 MAINTENANCE Replacing the Air Filter If the engine seems weak or runs une venly , the air fi lter ma y be clogged. If run with a soiled air fi lter , the spar k plugs can obtain a coating that disrupts operation.
English- 31 MAINTENANCE Replacing the Fuel Filter Replace the line-mounted fuel fi lter e v er y 100 hours (once per season) or more regularly if it is clogged. Replace the fi lter as f ollows: 1. Mov e the hose clamps awa y from the fi lter . Use fl at-nosed pliers.
English- 32 MAINTENANCE Checking the P arking Brake Visually check that no damage is f ound on the le v er , links, or s witch belonging to the parking brake . P erform a test drive and chec k that there is a braking eff ect. T o adjust the handbrak e, contact the service workshop .
English- 33 LUBRICATION Lubrication Lubrication Schedule General Remov e the ignition key to pre vent unintentional mo v ements during lubr ication. When lubricating with an oilcan, it ought to be fi lled with engine oil.
English- 34 LUBRICATION Lubricating the Cables If possible , grease both ends of the cab les and move the controls to end stop positions when lubricating. Re fi t the rubber cov ers on the cab les after lubrication. Cables with sheaths will bind if the y are not lubricated regular ly .
English- 35 LUBRICATION 3. Engine Oil Changing the Engine Oil The engine oil shall be changed f or the fi rst time after 8 hours of operation. Thereafter , it shall be changed e v er y 100 hours. 1. Place the machine on a fl at surf ace. 2. Place a container under the engine where the hose from the oil drainage tap e xits.
English- 36 LUBRICATION The oil le v el shall lie between the markings on the dipstick. If the lev el is approaching the ” ADD ” mar k, top up the oil to the ” FULL ” mark on the dipstick. Ne v er fi ll to abov e the ” FULL ” mar k. The oil is topped up through the hole the dipstick sits in.
