4 Introduction Your new digital projector is simple to co nnect, easy to use, and straightforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector th at is flexible enough for busines s presentations and home video viewing too. The IN3914 has native XGA 1024x768 resolution.
5 Connector panel The projector provides both co mputer and video connection options, including: • VGA computer • Composite video • USB mini B connector. This USB co nne ction pro vides slide advance (and mouse control when used with an optional remote control only) and LiteBoard™ Wand control.
6 Positioning the projector To determine where to position the projector, consider the si ze and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipment. Here are some general guidelines: • Position the projector between 30 in ches (.
7 Connecting a computer source USB connection If you have a Windows or Macintosh computer, con nect a USB cable between your computer's USB port and the projector's USB mi ni B connector.
8 Displaying an image Touch the Power button. The Power button blinks gre en and the fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays and the Po wer button is steady green. It can take up to a minute for the image to achieve full brightness.
9 Adjusting the image If necessary, adjust the height o f the projector by pressin g the elevator foot releas e button to extend the foot. If necessary, rotate the leveling foot located at the rear of the projector. Avoid placing your hands near the ho t exhaust vent at the front of th e projector.
10 What is Aspect Ratio? Aspect ratio is th e ratio of the image widt h to image height. Standard TV screens and older laptops are 4:3; HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9; and widescreen computers are 16:10. If you are projecting onto a screen, the size/shape of the screen will influence the aspect ratio you de cide to use.
11 Connecting a video device You can connect vi deo devices such as VCRs, DVD players, camcorders , digital cameras, video game consoles, HDTV receiv ers, and TV tuners to the projector.
12 LiteBoard ™ Wand The LiteBoa rd Wand work s like a wirel ess mous e - but one tha t works in mi dair, not on your de sktop. Just hold the wand in your hand, and poin t it at the p rojected image to point, cli ck and drag. The wand works with all y our software, ju st like a regular mouse.
13 How to Hold the Wand You can hold the wand the way you would hold a normal pencil or pen, or you can hold it like a rem ote control - use in wh ichever position is most comfortable. NOTE : If the wand is up close to the scre en, you can press its tip against the projection surface to click a nd drag.
14 Link Light The blue link light show s the status of the wand's wireless connection to the projector. The lin k light will blink freque ntly (more than on ce per second) when the wand is attempting to link to the projector; th en it will blink l ess frequently (about once every 4 seconds) after th e wand has linked to the projector.

24 Using the remote control The remote uses two (2) AA batteries (not provided). They are easil y installed by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding them into place, and then replaci ng the cover.
25 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audi o source to either the Audio 1 or Audio 2 con nectors to hear audio through the projector speakers. To assign the audio to a parti cular source, go to the Setup menu and choose the Audio Inputs feature.
26 Playing sound through the project or This projector is equipped with a 20-w a tt stereo speaker system, a dedicated microphone input, and advanced audio pr ocessing for superb audio perfo rmance. External amplified speakers may also be connected using the audio out connector o n the projector.

30 Using the menus To open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically close after 60 seconds if no buttons are pressed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to highlight the desired menu, then press the Select button.

38 Replacing the projection lamp The Lamp Hours timer in the Projector Info me nu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use.
