C ongr atulations on the purchase of y our new In-Sink-Era tor Series 1100 Hot Wa ter Dispenser! This sy stem will provide safe , filtered hot water on demand f or the ultimate in sinktop con venienc e. How it works: A small tank, mounted neatly under the cabinet, maintains a 1/2 gallon of water at near-boiling (up to 212˚F) temperatur e.
T his product dispenses water at temperatures up t o 212˚F , which is hot enough to cause severe burns . Caution should be exercised when installing and using this product. Under no circumstances is this product to be altered in any wa y other than that which is specifically addressed in these instructions.

Parts & Components In general, you'll be installing a faucet abov e-sink, with a filter assembly and a heating unit below-sink. Y ou'll also be connecting all of the plumbing.
T hings to check before y ou begin: C an you mak e the cold wa ter connection? If not, you may want to consult a qualified plumber , and have an appropriate plumbing fitting installed .
Plumbing & Electrical Requirements Plumbing: Be sure that any plumbing connections conf orm to your applicable local co des. The water supply line pr essure should be at least 30 psi (pounds per square inch). Low water pressur e can cause water to drip from the spout.
1. T urn off the water supply . 2. Str aighten the copper tubing Unpack the dispenser faucet and straighten the copper tubing carefully and smoothly . D o not pinch or break the copper tubing .

The Installation, page 3 of 5 7. Mak e Plumbing Connections 10 With all of the components secured in place , the tubing connec tions can be made. When routing the tubing between components , several guidelines should be observed: •T ubing runs should generally follow the c ontour of the cabinet rather than interfere with the cabinet storage area.
9. F ill the T ank Tu rn on the water supply . Push the dispenser ’ s HOT handle and hold it to fill the tank. Nothing will happen until the tank fills up and water begins c oming out of the faucet. The water will be cold because the T ANK IS NOT PL UGGED IN .
Care and Use 12 To A djust the Thermostat: Electric Shock Hazard .T o prevent electrical shock, disconnect power bef ore removing access c over to service the thermostat. Scalding Hazard .D o not allow water to boil. May result in severe burns. On the front of the tank there is an access panel.
Once you ha ve made the adjustment, actuate the dispenser handle for 20 seconds and allow the wat er to re-heat at the new temperature setting . If the temperature is still too hot or to o cold, continue to make slight adjustments. At no time should the water in the tank be allowed t o boil.
14 Care and Use S easonal Storage and Dr aining the T ank: Any time you plan on being a way from home f or an extended period of time, unplug the unit’ s elec trical cord and drain the unit if belo w freezing temperatures are expected . To drain the unit, follow these steps: Electric Shock Hazard .
