SECTION 1—GENERAL GUIDELINES Part No 1026793 13 Xtra™ Repair and Service Information Unless otherwise noted, all service and ad justments should be performed while the wheelchair is unoccupied.
SECTION 1—GENERAL GUIDELINES Xtra™ 14 Part No 1026793 Do not sit or transfer into the wheelchair unle ss it is fully open and the seat rails are fully seated into the seat clamps. Wheel locks are NOT brakes. DO NOT attemp t to stop a moving wheelchair with the wheel locks.

SECTION 2—SAFETY/HANDLING OF WHEELCHAIRS Part No 1026793 19 Xtra™ The first assistant should stand on the sidew a lk and turn the wheelchair so that the rear wheels are against the cu rb. The wheelchair should be tilted back to the balance point and, in one continuous downw ard movement, the rear wheels should be pulled up and over the curb.

Remov e the phillips screws that secure the arm pad to the armrest assembly . 2. Replace arm pad and securely tighten with the existing phillips screws.
SECTION 7—ARMS Xtra™ 46 Part No 1026793 Removing T-Arms 1. Press in on the lock ing lev er and lift the T -arm straigh t up and out of the T -arm socket. NOTE: If the T -arm does not slide up and down in the T -arm socket as desired, adjust the T -arm socket.
SECTION 7—ARMS Part No 1026793 47 Xtra™ • Tighten - Tightening the set screws on th e outside T -arm post will make it harder to move the inside T -arm post up and down. • Loosen - Loosening the set scr ews on the outside T -arm post will make it easier to move the inside T -arm post up and down.
