6 Installation 1 It is danger ous to alter th e specificatio ns or attempt to modify this pr oduct in any wa y . 1 Care m ust be tak en to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable. 1 An y electrical w ork requir ed to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified el ectrician or competent person.
7 Unpacking • Remov e all packaging befor e positioning the machine . • If possible, position the machine next to a water tap and a drain. W ater connections W e r e c o m m e n d t h a t t h i s d i s h washer is connected to y our cold water supply .
8 Connecting Systems The water inlet hose, drain hose and the mains cable must all be connected to the side of the dishwash er as there is no space for them behind the appliance.
9 Pr oceed as follo ws: 1. Unscre w the screws fr om the elbows at the rear (1). 2. Push the appliance’ s worktop back wards about 1 cm (2). 3. Lift the worktop at the fr ont (3) and remov e it. Insert the machine after adjusting height and lev elling with the adjustable feet.
10 Electrical connection Any electrical w ork required to instal l this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent per- son. 1 W ARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED . 12 8. Contr ol indicator lights The salt and rinse aid indicator lights are ne ver illuminated while a washing programme is running ev en if filling with salt and rinse aid is necessary . 9. Dela y star t button This option allows the start of the programme to be de- la yed from 1 to 19 hours.
13 When the dishwasher is first installed Befor e using your dishwasher for the first time: 1. Ensure that the electrical and water connections comply with the installation instructions 2. Remov e all packaging fr om inside the appliance 3 If you wish to use 3 in 1 detergent: – First read the section “Differ ent kinds of deter- gents”.
14 Setting the W ater Softener The water softener must be set manually and electr onically: a) Setting manuall y The dishwasher must be switched off. 1. Open the dishwasher door . 2. Remov e the low er basket fr om the dishwasher . 3. T urn the water har dness dial to position 0 or 1 (see ta- ble).
15 Rinse Aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse. Rinse aid will ensure the water flo ws a wa y easily from the cr ock er y , ensuring thor ough rinsing, spot and str eak free, lea ving g leaming dishes and glassware.
16 Activating rinse aid inflo w when “ Multi tab“ function is selected 3 If the “Multi tab“ function is not selected, the rinse aid inflow is alwa ys activated. If the “Multi tab“ function is se lected due to the use of 3in1 detergent, the rinse aid inflo w is deactivated.
17 Using the Dishwasher • Check if it’ s necessar y to refill with dishwasher salt or rinse aid. • Load cutler y and dishes into the dishwasher . • Fill with dishwasher detergent . • Select a wash pr ogramme su itable for the cutlery and dishes.
18 Open the door and slide out the bask ets to load the dishes. The lo w er bask et The lower bask et is design ed to take saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc . Ser ving dishes and large lids should be arranged ar ound the edge of the bask et, ensuring that the spra y arms can turn freely .
19 The upper bask et The upper bask et is designed for plates (dessert plates, sau- cers, dinner plates of up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups, glasses and for long, sharp cutlery . Arrange items on and underneath the cup racks so that wa- ter can reach all surfaces.
20 Adjusting the Height of the Upper Bask et If washing very large plates you can load them in the low er bask et after moving the upper bask et to the higher position. 3 The height of the b ask ets can also be adjusted when they ar e lo aded. Raising / Lo wering the upper bask et 1.

23 Star ting a washing pr o gramme Check that the bask ets ha ve been loaded corr ectly and that the spra y arms can r otate freel y . T urn on the water tap . Close the dishwasher door . Pr ess the ON/OFF button. Select the desir ed cycle . The cycle indicato r and the resp ective cycle stages in the cy- cle pr ogress displa y will be illuminated.
24 1 Carefull y open the door . Hot steam ma y escape. • Hot dishes are sensitive to knocks. Therefor e leav e the dishes to cool for abo ut 15 minutes before removing them. Y ou also get a better drying result. • Dishes dr y more quickly if y ou open the door for a mo- ment after the cycle has ended and then lea ve it slightl y open.
25 Maintenance and cleaning Clean the external surfaces of the machine and contr ol pan- e l w i t h a d a m p s o f t c l o t h . I f necessar y use only neutral de- tergents. Nev er use abrasive pr oducts, sc ouring pads or solvent (ace- tone, trichloroeth ylene etc .
26 Upper bask et spra y arm 1. T o remov e upper basket spra y arm, tilt it down hard. 2. Clean spra y arms jets. 3. Place cleaned upper bask et spra y arm bac k in position against the connecting piece: press the two together firm- ly , until you feel them snap in to place .
27 Something Not W orking If the dishwasher is not working corr ec tly , please carr y out th e following checks, befor e contacting your local Service Force agent. IMPOR T ANT : If the END light flashes and an alarm code is display e d, switch th e machine off and call the teleph one number given belo w .
