11 Setting Surface C ontrols The size and type of utensil used, and the amount and type of food being cooked will influence the surface element po wer level setting needed for best cooking results. The suggested settings found in Fig. 1 belo w are based when cooking with medium-weight aluminum pans with lids.

The Broil feature is factory preset to broil at 550°F . The Br oil function temperature may be set at an y temperature between 400°F (205°C) and 550°F (288°C).
24 Setting Oven C ontrols Meat Probe When cooking meat such as r oasts, hams or poultry , use the meat pr obe function to check the internal temperature without an y guesswork. For some foods , especially poultry and roasts , testing the internal temperature is the best method to insure properly cooked meats.

26 Setting Oven C ontrols Slo w C ook The Slo w Cook feature may be used to cook foods more slo wly and at lo wer oven temperatures. Slo w Cook pro vides cooking results much the same way as a Slo w Cooker or Crock-P ot . The Slow Cook feature is ideal for r oasting beef , pork & poultry .
27 Warm & Hold™ Example; to set Warm & Hold: 1. If needed, arrange interior oven racks and place cooked food in oven. 2. Press Warm & Hold key pad. HLd will appear in the display. If no further key pads are touched within 25 seconds the request for Warm & Hold will clear.
28 Setting Oven C ontrols Adjusting Oven Temperature Y our appliance has been factory calibrated and tested to ensure an accurate baking temperature. For the first few uses , follow y our recipe times and temperature recommendations carefully .

30 Setting Warmer Drawer C ontrol The purpose of the warmer drawer is to keep hot cooked foods at serving temperatures. Examples are vegetables, gravies, meats , casser oles, biscuits , r olls and pastries. It is not recommended to heat cold food in the warmer drawer; always start with hot food.
31 Setting warmer drawer The thermostat contr ol knob is used to select the temperature for the warmer drawer . It is located on the contr ol panel.
