User Guide iii Your wireless phone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is desi gned an d manufactu red to not exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) en ergy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S. Government.
iv Medi cal devi ces Pacemakers —W arning to pacemaker wearers: W ireless phones, when in the ‘on’ position, have been shown to interfere with pacemakers. The phone sh ould be kept at least six (6) inches away from the pacemaker to redu ce risk.
User Guide v Resetting t he phone If the screen seems frozen and the keypad does not respond to keypresses, reset th e phone by completing the followi ng steps: 1. Remove the battery door. 2. Remove and replace the battery. If the problem persists, return th e phone to th e dealer for service.
vi The higher th e phone’s “M” rating, the more likely the phon e is compatibl e with a hearing aid operating in the microp hone s etting. Hearing aids also have ratings simil ar to wireless phones. Most newer hearing aid models receive at least an M2 rating.
