Chapter 4. Using the Setup Utility program Y ou can use the Setup Utility program to view and change the configuration settings of your computer , regardless of which operating system you ar e using. However , the operating system settings might override any similar settings in the Setup Utility program.
Password considerations A password can be any combination of up to 16 (1 to 16) alphabetic and numeric characters. For security reasons, it is r ecommended to use a strong password that cannot be easily compromised. Enabling or disabling a device This section provides instr uctions on how to enable or disable user access to a device. USB Setup Use this option to set up USB connectors.

Chapter 5. Updating system programs This chapter provides information about updating the POST and BIOS, and how to recover fr om a POST and BIOS update failure.
