3 Intr oduction Y our new digi tal projector is simple to connect, easy to use, and straightfor - ward to maintain. It is a versatile proj e ctor that is flexible enough for busi - ness presentations and home v ideo vi ewing too. The IN24 has native SVGA 800x600 re solution while the IN26 has native XGA 1024x768 r esolution.

5 P ositioning the pr ojector T o determine where to position the pr ojector , consider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your po wer outlets, and the distance between the projector and the r est of your equipment. 10 Displa ying an imag e Press the Po w e r button. The Power light on the Status Indicator Panel ( page 14 ) blinks green and the fans start to run. When the lamp comes on, the start up screen displays and the Power light is steady gree n. It ca n take a minute for the image to achieve full brig htness.
11 Adjusting the imag e If necessary , adjust the he ight of the projector by pr essing the elevator foot release button to extend the foot. 22 Using the r emote contr o l The re mote uses two (2) pr ovided AA ba tteries. They ar e easily installed by sliding the cover off the r emote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the bat - teries, slid ing them into place, and then repl ac ing th e c ove r .
23 Using the audio Using the projector’ s speaker T o use the projector ’s speaker , connect your source t o the Audio In connec - tors ( L and/or R ) on the projecto r ’s composite connecto rs. T o adj ust the volume, press the Vo l u m e buttons on the keypad.
24 Using the k eypad buttons Most buttons are described in detail in other sections, but here is an over - view of their functions: Po w e r –turns the project or on and off ( page 10 ). Auto Imag e –resets the pr ojector to the source. Presets –cycles thr ough the available preset settings ( page 29 ).
25 Optimizing computer imag es After your computer is connected prop erly and the computer ’s image is on the screen, you can optimize the imag e using the onscr een menus. For gen - eral information on using the menus, se e page 27. • Adjust the Keystone, Contrast, or B rightness in the Pictu re menu ( page 28 ).

27 Using the menus T o open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or r emote. (The menus automatically close after 60 seconds if no buttons ar e pressed.) The Main menu appears. Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to high - light the des ired submenu, then press the Select button.
28 Pictur e menu T o adjust the following setting s, highlight the setting, pr ess Select , use the up and down arrows to adju st the values, then press Select to conf irm the changes. Ke y s t o n e : adjusts the image vertically and ma kes a squarer image.
29 Presets : Pr esets are pr ovided that optimi ze the pr ojector for displaying computer presentati ons, film image s, and video images. Film input is ma te - rial originally captur ed on a film camera, like a movie; video input is mate - rial originally captur ed on a video came ra, like a TV show or sporting event.
30 Sharpness : (video sources only) change s the clarity of the edges of a video image. Select a sharpness setting. Color Space : This option applies to computer and component video sourc es. It allows you to selec t a color space that has been specifical ly tuned for the input signal.
31 Settings menu Audio: allows adjustments to V olume of th e internal speaker and allows a chime to play when starting the proj ector . V olume adjustme nts can also be made from the pr ojector ’s keypad. Sour ces: P o wer -up Source determines which source the projector checks first for active video du ring power -up.
32 Startup Logo : allows you to displa y a blank screen instead of the defaul t screen at startup, and when no sour ce is detected. Blank Screen : d etermines what color is dis played when you press the Blank button on the r emote.
33 Language : allows you to select a language for the onscr een display . Ser vice : T o use these featur es, highlight them and press Select . Fact or y Reset resto res all setting s to their default. Reset Lamp Hours res ets the lamp ho urs used coun ter in the Service Info menu to zer o.
34 PIN feature The PIN (personal identification number) featur e allows you to passwor d protect your pr ojector . Once you enable the PIN feature, you must enter the PIN before you can pr oject an image. T o use this feature, you must register your projector at www .
35 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a s oft, dry cloth. • A void using an excessive am ount of cleaner , and don’t apply the cleaner directly to the lens. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals might scratch the lens.
36 WA R N I N G : Be extremel y careful when removing the lamp housing. In the unlikely event that t he bulb rupt ures, small glass fragments may be generated. The lamp housing is designed to c ontain these frag - ments, but use cautio n when removing the lamp housing.
