Chapter 3: Getting to Know the Wireless USB Network Adapter The Wireless USB Netw ork Adapter’ s USB port is located on the back of the Adapter . The Wireless USB Network Adapter’ s USB port USB P ort The USB P ort is a por t installed in your PC, enab ling you to connect to USB peripherals.
Chapter 4: Installation and Configuration of the USB Adapter for Windows 98SE, Me, and 2000 This Wireless USB Netw ork Adapter Setup W izard will guide you through the Install and Uninstall Procedures for Windo ws 98SE, Me, and 2000. Insert the Setup Wizard CD into your CD-R OM Drive.
3. After reading the W ar ranty P olicy , click the Ye s button if you agree, or No to end the installation. 4. The InstallShield W izard will automatically choose the folder w here Setup W izard will install the f iles.
7. Enter in the name of y our SSID (Ser vice Set Identif ier) for y our Ad-Hoc or Infrastructure setting. The SSID must be identical for all points in the net- w ork. Chapter 5: Connecting Y o u r Wireless USB Network Adapter T o install your W ireless USB Netw ork Adapter , f irst connect one end of the USB cable to the Adapter . Then, connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on your desktop or notebook PC.
Instant Wireless TM Series STEP TW O STEP THREE Once the W all Mount is attached to the W ireless USB Network Adapter , stick it to the velcro strip y ou’ ve attached to your w all for wall mounting. The adapter is Hot Swappab le, which means that y ou can remov e or reconnect the adapter whene ver y ou want without turning of f your PC.
Chapter 6: Installation and Configuration of the USB Drivers for Windows XP After attaching the Wireless USB Netw ork Adapter to your computer , you will install the netw ork driv er . 1. Windo ws XP will automatically detect the presence of the Wireless USB Netw ork Adapter in your computer .
