3 ENGLISH APPLICABLE DISCS T O THE UNIT 1. Super Audio CD There are three types of Super A udio CDs. • Single-lay er Disc • Dual-lay er Disc • Hybrid-lay er Disc And each type ma y contain two areas of recorded information.
4 ENGLISH NO TES ABOUT THE DISCS * Handle the discs carefully so as not to scratch their surfaces. * Keep the surfaces of the discs c lean at all times. When cleaning the surf aces of discs, alwa ys be sure to use the special cleaner and wipe the surf aces in the directions shown in the figure belo w .
5 ENGLISH USING REMO TE CONTROL UNIT Cautions on handling batteries Misuse of the batteries can result in electrolyte leakage, rupturing, corrosion, etc. Bear in mind the f ollowing points when using batteries. • Remov e the batteries from the remote control unit if the unit is not going to be used f or a prolonged per iod (a month or more).

9 ENGLISH REAR PANEL A ANALOG OUTPUTS UNB ALANCED connectors These are the unbalanced output jacks of the analog au- dio signals. The analog connection cord can be connected to the CD , A UX, or other connectors on an amplifier . Be sure to connect the L and R channels correctly to the cor- responding jacks .

The settings are retained e ven if the pow er is tur ned off so that you can alwa ys enjoy tr acks with your f av orite character istics. T o change the settings again, make the changes using the same procedure.
15 ENGLISH 7 Filters The SA-7S1 is equipped with the “ PEC 777f2 ” filter , dev eloped with an improved algorithm from the digital filter f or CD playbac k “ PEC777f ” (Phase Error Compensation 777 filter) that uses Mar antz or iginal DSP . When pla ying a super audio CD , the D/A conv er ter inter nal filter is used.

17 ENGLISH OPERA TION PLA YING TRA CKS IN A RANDOM SEQUENCE (RANDOM PLA Y) When RANDOM button on the remote is pressed in stop mode , and then PLAY button is pressed, the unit shuffles tr ack order automatically and pla ys all the tracks in the shuffled order .
18 ENGLISH OPERA TION T o Check the Pr ogrammed T racks Press the RECALL/SCROLL button on the remote control during the program or when the prog ram is stopped ( “ PROG ” lights up). Every time press RECALL/SCROLL button, the prog rammed trac ks will be displayed one after the other in order .
19 ENGLISH QUICK REPLA Y When QUICK REPLAY button is pressed during pla yback, the unit goes back to the amount of time set b y the MENU and star ts playbac k from there.
