The front passenger ’ s seat is clearly the worst choice for any child under 12, an d with rear-f acing child-r estraint systems it is clearly unsafe due to air bags.

Y our v ehicle is equipped with a trun k release handle that pro vides a means of escape for child ren and adults in the e v ent they become locked inside the trunk.
3-12 Knowing Y our Mazda Doors a nd Lo cks Form No. 8Q47-EA-01F ▼ Opening the T runk Lid from the Insid e Pull the illuminated "T" shaped handle. The handle is made of material that will glo w for hours in the darknes s of the tru nk following a brief e xposure to ambient light.

Always keep the ha ndle f irmly attached to the holder an d in the recessed position. Not securing the handle this way could allow it to snag luggage in the trunk and o pen the trunk lid .

Fuel with a lo wer rating could caus e the emission control system to lose ef fectiv eness.

If the ABS warning light stays on while you ’ re dri vi ng, the ABS co ntrol unit has detected a system malfun ction.

5-9 Driving Your Mazda Starting and Driving Form No. 8Q47-EA-01F D (Driv e) D is th e norm al driving po sition. From a stop, the transaxle will autom atically shift through a 4 -gear sequence. S (Second) The S position is helpfu l when dri ving in slo w-mov ing traf f ic and when climbing a hill.
