Before using for the first time 16 Opening the door ĺ T o open the door , reach under the door grip and pull. If the door is opened during oper ation, all functions are aut omatically interrupt‐ ed.
Before using for the first time 17 Before using the appliance for the first time, you require: – Domestic dishwasher deter gent – Rinse aid formulated for domestic dishwashers Every dishwasher is test ed at the fac‐ tory . There will be residual wat er in the appliance from this t est.
Before using for the first time 18 ĺ Add rinse aid only until it is visible in the opening. The rinse aid reservoir holds appr ox. 3.7 oz. (110 ml). ĺ Close the flap firmly so that it clicks into place. Otherwise water can ent er the rinse aid reservoir during a pr o‐ gr am.
Before using for the first time 19 Setting the rinse aid dosage Y ou can adjust the rinse aid dosage for best results. The rinse aid dosage is set in stages from 0 t o 6.
L oading the dishwasher 20 Tip s Remove coarse food residues fr om the dishware. There is no need t o rinse items under running water! ɘ Do not wash items soiled with ash, sand, wax, grease, or paint in the dishwasher . These will damage the dishwasher .

Operation 31 Detergent ɘ Only use deter gents formulated for domestic dishwashers. Refer to the manufactur er's packaging as to whether T ab products are suitable for the water har dness level in your area. Please note that the cleaning and dry‐ ing results of T ab detergents can vary greatly .
Operation 32 Adding detergent ĺ Pr ess the opening catch on the de‐ ter gent dispenser . The flap will spring open. The flap is always open at the end of a progr am.
Operation 33 T urning on ĺ Make sure the spr ay arms are not ob‐ structed. ĺ Close the door . ĺ T urn on the water supply if it is turned off. ĺ T urn the dishwasher on with the ɶ button. The Start indicat o r light flashes and the indicator light comes on ne xt to the progr am selected.
Operation 34 Starting a progr am The dishwasher can be started only if the door is closed. ĺ Pr ess the Start button. The progr am will begin. The Start indicat or light will come on. A progr am should only be canceled in the first few minutes, if at all.
Operation 35 Energy management T o save energy, the dishwasher will switch off automatically 10 minut es af‐ ter the last time a butt on has been pressed or 10 minut es after the end of the progr am (see "Options - Optimize Standby"). ĺ Pr ess the ɶ button to switch the dishwasher back on.
Operation 36 T urning off At the end of a pr ogram: ĺ The dishwasher can be switched off at any time using the ɶ button. T urning the dishwasher off during a pro‐ gr am stops the progr am. T urning the dishwasher off during the delay start time will also stop the pr oc‐ ess.
Operation 37 Interrupting a progr am A progr am will be interrupted as soon as the door is opened. ĺ Close the door and press the S tart button. The progr am will continue from the point at which it was interrupt ed. ɘ Wat er in the dishwasher may be hot.
Options 38 Short Ц The Short Ц option reduces the dur a‐ tion of progr ams in which this option is available. In order t o achieve optimum cleaning results, consumption r ates ar e in‐ creased with this option. ĺ T urn the dishwasher on with the ɶ button.
Options 39 T urning off the refill indicator If you consistently use a T ab detergent, you can deactivate the r efill indicator if you wish. ĺ T urn the dishwasher off with the ɶ button, if it is turned on. ĺ Pr ess the Start button and, simulta‐ neously , switch the dishwasher on using the ɶ button.
Options 40 Delay Start Y ou can set the start time for a pro‐ gr am. The start time can be delayed between 30 minutes and 24 hours. The delay period is shown in 30 mi‐ nutes incr ements for a delay period be‐ tween 30 minutes and 9 hours 30 mi‐ nutes.
Options 41 If Optimize Standby is switched on (see "Options - Optimize Standby"), the time display will go out after a few minutes, leaving just the Start indica‐ tor light flashing slowly . Pr ess any button to switch the display back on again for a few minutes.
Options 42 Optimize Standby "Optimize Standby" is activat ed by de‐ fault. T o save energy, the dishwasher will switch off automatically a few minut es after the last time a butt on has been pressed or aft er the end of a progr am.
