Chapter 2. Gett ing Start ed Before using the printer , you mu st 4 charge the battery handl e. (See "Chargin g the Batte ry Hand le" lat er in th is chapt er .) 4 attach a fully ch arged battery handl e. (See "Remo ving and Attaching the Battery Handl e" later in thi s chapter .

3. Pull back the su pply lock tab. 4. Squee ze or pu ll apart t he supp ly holder at its ba se to adjust it to th e size of your sup ply roll. It clicks at 1.
5. Press the su pply lock down to lock the suppl y holder in plac e. 6. Remove the se al from the suppl y roll, p eel and discard the first four inches o f labels fro m the backi ng pape r . 7. Place the supply rol l in the supply ho lder so tha t it feeds labels from the bottom as sh own.
9. F eed the bac ki ng pa per un der the appl ica tor ro ller a nd under the labe l deflec tor . 10. Push the l abel defle ctor up unti l it snaps i nto place. 11. P artiall y close the su pply cover to the first position (u ntil it clicks once ). n Do Not clos e the cover comp letely at this step or a l abel jam may occur .
12. Hold th e supply e dge bet ween th e feed and pin ch rollers. Press the trigge r to feed the backing pap er through the rollers. 13. Press 1 if you are loadin g the same supply type . Press e to start your appl ication. O r , press 2 to load a differe nt supp ly type or size.

Keypad T es t The Keypad test displ ays the ROW # and COLUMN # for each key you pre ss on the keypad . There are 6 rows and 6 columns (0-5). For example, b is (0,0 ), and E is (0,5). T o te st any key: 1. F rom the HDW TE ST ME NU, press > until you see: Display K eypad 2.
