5 SECTION 2: TO THE OWNER Model 6 27 42-i nch two-stage snow t hrower is des igned for u se on 6 00-serie s lawn t ractors manufac tured in 1996 or later ONLY . It wil l NOT fit nor opera te properly or safely on ANY other trac tor. It will NOT fit on any FastAttach™ co mpatible tractor.
6 SECTION 4: ASSEMBLY WARNING: Before in stall ing attachm ent, place trac tor on a firm an d level s urface. P lace the PTO in the disengag ed (OF F) positi on, se t the par king br ake, s hut e ngine of f and remove key to preve nt uninte nded starting .
7 8. Reins ert the rem ainin g hex screws removed i n Step 4 throu gh the remai ning align ing holes in both the sup port c arriage a ssembl y and t he trac tor’s frame rail (ju st b ehind the tracto r’s fro nt piv ot bracket) . Secure ly fast en with the rem aining lock washers and h ex nuts .
8 Attaching T he Lift Handle 1. Rem ove the hex s crews and flange nuts from the lower por tion of the li ft handle. 2. Attac h the lift hand le to the li ft bracke t found on the righ t side of the su pport carria ge asse mbly w ith the two hex screws and two flange lock nuts j ust remove d.
9 11. Remove t he hex s crews and h ex nu ts from t he rear por tion of each upper lift link. 12. Have an assi stant gras p the upper po rtion of the auger hou sing an d pivot the as sembly up ward unt il the holes of the upper links align with holes in the front o f the suppor t carria ge.
10 Routing the Low er Drive Belt 1. Lo osen, but do NOT remove the flang e nut whic h secures the belt keepe r to the driv e mounting bracket. Se e Figur e 16. 2. Ma ke su re tha t the “ V ” side of t he lower d rive be lt is seated fir mly in the lower por tion of the dou ble pulley found in the rear of the under carria ge assembl y.
11 SECTION 5: CONTROLS Engaging th e Auger s and Impeller Power to the s now thrower attac hment is activated by lowerin g the tractor ’ s li ft leve r and placi ng it into the lowes t notc h po ssible.

13 Adjust s kid sh oes as foll ows: 1. Lo osen, but do NO T remove, the three hex nut s which fas ten the skid shoe to the auger housi ng. 2. Rais e or l ower the skid sho e to des ired p osition. NOTE: Make c er t ai n the en t ir e ba s e of bo t h sk id sh oe s are agai nst the ground to avoid uneven we ar on the skid sho es.
14 Lower Chu te Crank Support Br acket Adjustment If t he spir al a t the base of the lower ch ute crank i sn ’ t fully engagi ng with the notc hes in the lower c hute assembl y, the su pport bra cket can be adjust ed inward or ou tward as follo ws: 1.
