14 First Steps Inserting the Battery The c amera uses a recha rgeabl e EN-E L8 li thium-i on bat tery (s upplie d). 1 Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover. 2 Insert the battery. The orange battery latc h is pushed aside as the battery is inserted.
