Getting Started > 11 R EAR VIEW When the rear paper stacker is folded do wn pa per exits the printer through the rear of the printer and is stacked here face up. This is mainly used for heavy pr int media. When used in conjunction with the multi purpose feed tray, the paper path th rough the printer is essentially straight.
Getting Started > 12 Power Save button on the control panel. The Power Save button illuminates while in Power Save Mode. S LEEP MODE Your machine transitions from power saving mode to sleep mode after a set peri od of time. In sleep mode the power consumption of the devi ce is minimal.
Paper recommendations > 13 P APER RECOMMENDATIONS Your printer wi ll handle a variety of print media, including a range of pa per weights and sizes, labels and envel opes. This section prov ides general advice on choice of media, and explains how to use each type.
Paper recommendations > 14 M ULTI PURPOSE TRAY The multi purpose tray can handle the same si zes as the cassette trays but in weights up to 220 g/m² . For very heavy paper stock use the face up (rear) paper stacker. This ensures that the paper path through th e printer is almost strai ght.

You can also assig n a priority to a print job. These features are useful if you are printing la rge documents that take a long time to print.

Colour printing (C301 and C511 only) > 33 C OLOUR PRINTING (C301 AND C511 ONLY ) The printer drivers supplied wi th your machin e provide several contr ols for changing the colour output. For general use the automatic se ttings will suffice, providing reasonable default settings that will produce good results for most documents.
Colour printing (C301 and C511 only) > 34 How your software application disp lays colour Some graphics applications such as Corel Draw or Adobe Photoshop may display colour differently from “Office” applic ations such as Microsoft Word.
