En- 9 Connecting the Receiver Disconne ct the power cord from the electrical outlet before making any connections. The receiv er allo ws you to c onnect two sets of speakers. When two sets of speakers are connected, you can select which speaker set outputs s ound or use both sets to output sound simultaneously .

En- 12 Connecting Antennas This section explains ho w to connect the supplied indoor FM antenna and AM loop antenna. The receiv er won’ t pick up any radio signals if no antenna is connected, so you must connect the antenna to use the tuner .

W ith the sleep timer , you can se t the receiv er so that it turns off automatically after a specified period.
En- 20 Enjoying A udio Sources —Con tinued Press the remote controller’ s [A UDIO] button repeatedly to select DIRECT . The setting will change as follo ws each time you press the [A UDIO] button. When the DIRECT functi on is off, the tone controls can be used to adjust the sound, and the DIRECT indicator goes off.
