EN The camera's battery can be charged in a variety of ways: A. Through the camera itself by connecting the AC adaptor through the PV100's DC jack. B. By docking the camera into a PV100D cradle and connecting the AC adaptor through the DC jack.
EN MEMOR Y STORA GE The Secure Digital (SD) card is an external memory card that can be plugged into your digital camera for storing images and movies.

EN T AKING BASIC PICTURES 1. Make sure the camera is set to Record Mode (that is, in Camera Capture Mode). 2. Frame and view your subject on the LCD. 3. Press the SHUTTER RELEASE button. The image taken is displayed on the LCD for approximately a second (Auto Review).
EN NOTE: When taking pictures with flash on, the camera’s battery life will be shorter so you will need to keep an eye on the battery status. NOTE FUNCTION DESCRIPTION Auto Flash On Flash Off The flash may go off automatically , depending on light conditions.
EN NOTE: In Movie Mode, once the SHUTTER RELEASE button is pressed and recording starts, zooming cannot be further adjusted for the duration of the recording. USING THE SELF-TIMER The Self-T imer function counts down 10 seconds before the camera automatically takes a picture by itself.

The default auto of f time setting is 3 min. NOTE: Auto Off is not available in slideshow mode or when the camera is connected to a PC.
EN MACR O The PV100’s macro-focusing function lets you move the camera lens very close to the subject, allowing you to take close-up images with clarity and in detail. FORMA T This option will format all data in either the internal memory or the external SD card / MMC, including all protected files.
EN • If ambient light levels are relatively low such as indoors or at night, you can adjust the brightness levels lower to make the display easier to see. Note however, that playback volume is fixed and cannot be adjusted. MUL TI-FRAME REVIEW The Multi-Frame Review shows, as thumbnails, up to nine recorded images and movies on the LCD.
EN DELETING A PLA YBACK IMA GE To delete the image currently being viewed during playback, press and confirm. Protected images (indicated with ) cannot be deleted and must be unprotected first. MO VIE PLA YBACK To playback movies: 1. Wait until the icons disappear from the playback movie.

EN NOTE: Y ou can only specify the DPOF of the internal memory by transferring the images to a blank SD card via an SD card reader (sold separately). While you can take your SD card to a specialist for printing images, you must take the camera to a specialist to print any images stored in internal memory.
EN CONNECTING T O EXTERNAL DEVICES CONNECTING T O A TV Y ou can playback the images and movies you have recorded on the camera on your TV . Connect your camera to the TV via the included video cable. NOTE: Be sure to adjust the TV Out setting to correspond with your country's system (P AL / NTSC) before connecting the camera to the TV.
