LCD Display on the Handset 6 of 42 Icon Name Description Battery • Animated when charging. • When the battery indicator displays 4 blocks, the battery is fully charged. • When the battery indicator displays no block, the battery is almost empty, and requires charging.
Battery Lev el Indication The Battery icon is always displayed when the handset is powered on. When cha rging, the battery icon will be scrolling to indicate that the batteries are being charged. When fully cha rged, four bars are displayed. The scrolling will stop.

Menu Short-cuts Once the Menu key is pressed from standby, use r can press the digit that corresponds to the position of a main menu item to enter that menu directly.
Using Pre-Dialling You can enter a telephone numb er and verify it on the display before you place the call. • Use the keypad to enter the phone number. The di splay shows the digits as you enter them. • Press , the number entered will be dialled out.
Using Direct Dialling When the direct dial feature is activated, the prompt, DIRE CT DIAL, will be blinking on the first line of the display during standby. Press any key except during standby to dial out the designated number. To activate: • Press .
