1 This manual contains supplementary instructions regarding the use of the computer . It ex- plains the cases where the operation of the computer differs from that in the Operating In- structions. Y our computer is equipped with the EDGE modem enabling you to communicate using radio frequencies.
2 The following safety precautions must be observed during all phases of the operation, usage, service or repair of any Personal Computer or Handheld Computer incorporating EDGE modem.
3 Do not place the computer with EDGE modem in an area over an air bag or in the vicinity where an air bag may deploy . 9 LED Description EDGE Modem Switch The EDGE modem can power up independently from the computer regardless of the computer power status and will remain on when the computer ’ s power is off. This function depends on the setting of the Setup Utility .
10 1 Power off your computer and EDGE modem. 2 Installing a SIM card Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot with the contact side facing downward and with the cut corner in front. Close the cover . If the cover is not closed, the SIM card may jump out when the computer falls.
11 Removing a SIM card Push the card. It will come out of the slot a little bit. Pull the card all the way out. <CF-18 Series> <CF-29 Series>.
