2 P arts checklist Y our t elephone cont ains the following items. Save your sales rec eipt and original packaging in the event warranty service is necessary .
3 Install ation T able/desk inst allation Install the desk/table bracket to the upper portion on the telephone base. Plug the tabs on the brack et into the slots on the telephone base until they click int o place. Install batteries to provide power for the AUDIO ASSIS T , MUTE and light s.
4 Set the tone/pulse switch. If you have touch tone service, set the switch to TT (t one). If you have dial pulse (rotary) service, set the switch to DP (pulse). Connect the handset to the tel ephone. Plug the handset coiled cor d into the handset jack on the left side of the telephone base.
5 W all inst allation Install the wall bracket to the lower portion on the bottom of the telephone base. Plug the tabs on the bracket into the slots on the telephone base until they click int o place. Install batteries to provide power for the AUDIO ASSIS T , MUTE and light s.
6 Installation Set the tone/pulse switch. If you have touch tone service, set the switch to TT (t one). If you have dial pulse (rotary) service, set the switch to DP (pulse).
7 Rever se the handset tab. This tab holds the handset when you hang up. Hold down the switchhook and slide the tab up and out of its slot. Turn the tab so that the end with the hook is up. Then hold down the switchhook while you insert the tab back into its slot.
8 T elephone operation Mak e a call Lift the handset or press . When you hear a dial tone, dial the nu m be r yo u w is h to c al l u si ng t h e dial pad or memory buttons. Answer a call When the telephone rings and the ringing indicator flashes, lift up the h a n d s e t o r p r e s s t o a n s w e r t h e incoming call.
9 R edial The last number dialed is stored in the redial memory . T o dial that number , lift the h ands et o r press to l isten fo r a dial tone, then press REDIAL/P AUSE . The number is dialed automaticall y . NOTE: R edial memory can stor e up to 32 digits.
10 Handset volume Slide H S VO L (handset volume) on the telephone base to adjust the volume of what you hear through the handset. Slide t h e c o nt r o l d o w n w a rd t o d e c re a s e o r upward t o increase the volume. Ringer volume Slide RINGER on the right side of the telephone to adjust the ringer volume to a comf ortable level.
11 T elephone memory This tel ephone can stor e 13 t elephone numbers, each up to 16 digits. Y ou can dial numbers stored in memory by pressing one or two but tons. Dir ectory car d Lift the plastic cover off the directory card to write down the numbers and names which are stored in the telephone memory on the card.
12 Stor e a pause in a memory number Press REDIAL/P AUSE o nce to sto re a three to four sec ond pause in the dialing sequence. Each additional press will add another three t o four second pause. NOTE: Each three to four second pause is counted as one digit when storing numbers in the telephone memory .

14 The telephone d oe s n o t r i n g • Make sure the RINGER switch is not set to OFF . • If there are several other telephones connected on the same line, try disconnecting some of them. Having too m a n y t e l e p h o n e s c o n n e c t e d c a n a l s o creat e pr oblems such as low ringer volume or impaired sound quality during calls.

Als u nog geen AT&T 929 heb gekocht dan nu is een goed moment om kennis te maken met de basisgegevens van het product.
