9 ASSEMBL Y CHECK TIRE PRESSURE The tires on your tr actor were o v erinfl ated at the f actor y f or shipping pur poses. Correct tire pressure is impor tant f or best cutting perf ormance. • Reduce tire pressure to PSI shown on tires . CHECK DECK LEVELNESS F or best cutting results, mo wer housing should be properly le v eled.

15 ADD GASOLINE • Fill fuel tank to bottom of fi ller neck. Do not ov erfi ll. Use fresh, clean, regular un lead ed gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. (Use of leaded gasoline will increase carbon and lead o xide deposits and reduce v alv e lif e).

19 MAINTENANCE V- B E LT S Check V -belts f or deterioration and wear after 100 hours of operation and replace if necessary . The belts are not ad just able . Re place belts if they begin to slip from w ear . TRANSAXLE COOLING The transmission f an and cooling fi ns should be kept clean to assure proper cooling.
20 MAINTENANCE MUFFLER Inspect and replace corroded muffl er and spar k arrester (if equipped) as it could create a fi re hazard and/or dam- age. SP ARK PLUGS Replace spark plugs at the beginning of each mowing season or after e v er y 100 hours of operation, whiche v er occurs fi rst.
