7 El ectrical Connections Elect rical co nnecti ons must be mad e by a quali fied elect rician in comp liance wi t h all rel evant cod es . Thi s machi ne must be prop erly grou nded to help preven t electri cal shock and possibl e fatal in jury. The 64A Tablesaw is equi pped wi th a singl e phase, 115/ 230 v olt m otor.

12 Handwh eels and L ock Knob s 1. At tach handwheel knob (A) by inserting screw (B) through hollow knob and into t he 3/8" lock nut (C). See Fi gure 10. Li ghtly scre w as s em bly int o handw heel. 2. Ti ghten the nut ( C) to the handwheel just enough so that t here i s adequat e loo seness in t he knob (A) to allow f ree ro tation.
13 6. Instal l t he m otor assembl y onto t he protr uding studs at t he back of the saw. See Fi gure 15. 7. T ight en dow n s et screws i n top of cast m otor brack et with hex wrench as shown in F igur e 15. 8. Use an assi s tant or get a su pport bl ock (f or ex a m p le, a 2 x 4) approxim ately 21" to 22" long.

20 Basic S a w Op eration 1. Fam iliariz e yourself with the l ocation and operati on of all cont ro ls and adj ustment s and the use of the mitre gauge and r ip f ence. 2. Serious i njury can re s ult from kickbacks which occ ur w hen a workpi ece bi nds on the saw bl ade or binds bet w een the saw bl ade and ri p f ence or other fix ed objects.
21 • Check the operat ion of t he anti -kickbac k pawl s bef ore start ing a cut . If t he paw l s do not stop t he re v erse moti on o f a workpi ece, resharpe n all the poi nts. • Keep your fac e and body out of line wi th potent ial kic kbacks when poss ibl e, i ncludi ng when start ing or stoppi ng the machi ne.

23 Resawing 1. Resawing i s a ri pping operat ion i n which thi ck boards are c ut int o thi nner ones. Narrow board s up t o 3" c an be re s awn in one pas s . W ider boards up to 6" must be re sa wn i n t wo p as ses. 2. In resa w ing wider boards, adj ust the bl ade height so as to ov erl ap the two cuts by 1/ 2" (F igure 40).
24 7. P ro v ide auxi liary support f or any workpiec e which t ends to sag and l if t up off the tabl e when i t e xt ends beyond t he table top. 8. Hav e t he blade ex tend about 1/8" abov e the top of the workpi ece. E x posing the blade abov e this point can be hazar dous .
25 Never use a wedge b etween arbo r collar and sa w bl ade to create a "w ob bl e" dado. Never op erate the saw wi thout guard, splitt er and a nt i-ki ck b ack paw ls for operation s wh ere t hey can b e used . Never use a d ado head in tilted posit ion.

Als u nog geen Powermatic 64A heb gekocht dan nu is een goed moment om kennis te maken met de basisgegevens van het product. Eerst kijk dan naar de eerste pagina\'s van de handleiding, die je hierboven vindt. Je moet daar de belangrijkste technische gegevens Powermatic 64A vinden. Op dit manier kan je controleren of het apparaat aan jouw behoeften voldoet. Op de volgende pagina's van de handleiding Powermatic 64A leer je over alle kenmerken van het product en krijg je informatie over de werking. De informatie die je over Powermatic 64A krijgt, zal je zeker helpen om een besluit over de aankoop te nemen.
In een situatie waarin je al een beziter van Powermatic 64A bent, maar toch heb je de instructies niet gelezen, moet je het doen voor de hierboven beschreven redenen.
