b. TS - 853U, TS - 1253U : L oosen the tw o sc rews on th e rear o f the NAS. 2. Open the NAS . 3. Slide the memor y module to the slot at a 45 - degree a ngle (approximate ly) .

6.3 TS -870U- RP, TS - 1270U- RP 1. T urn off the NAS. Disconnect the power adaptor , network c able(s), and any o ther connect ors or ca bles fr om th e NAS. 2. Be fore installing the netwo rk expa nsion card, put on a n antistat ic wrist str ap to preve nt electrostatic dis charge.
6. G ras p the edge of the expansion card. Align the notch on the gold edge of the card with the notch in the PCIe slot. Inser t the network expansion card to the PCIe slot until it cannot go an y further . 7. F asten the s crews. 8. Clos e the case cover and fas ten the screws.
Chapt er 7. Install and H ot - swap Hard Drives Caut ion: Befor e start in g, pl ease ensu re th at you tu rn off the NA S, di sconnect th e powe r adaptor, network cable(s), and also re move any other device/ca ble that is attache d to the NAS.
2. Install th e HDD : a. For 3 .5 ” HDDs, re move both br ackets (pinch the end mark ed “ pull ” to pull and separ ate the bra cke t ) from the tray .
b. Fo r 2 .5 ” HDD s /SSD s , secure t he three screw s in the back of the hard driv e tr ay . 3. Inser t the hard drive tr ay into the T urbo NAS all the way to the botto m and close the case cov er .
7.1.2. TS - 112P, TS - 212P and TS -25 1C 1. Loos en the screw s on the rea r (t op and bott om) of t he NA S. Remove the case cover o f the NAS by sliding it apar t (see the underside of the NAS for visual indicat ors of the NAS case being lock ed/unlock ed.
