15 PROTECTING/UNPROTECTING MESSAGES You can protec t m essage s so they are not removed when you rec eive more mes sages than the av ailab le memor y can store. To prot ect a messa ge, pres s while the pager dis- plays the messa ge you want to pr otect.
16 ERASING MESSAGES There are two ways to erase mess ages : eras e all and erase one . To erase al l messages, repeated ly press until the pager d ispla ys ErASE ALL? . Pres s . All r e ad , un - locke d mess ages ar e erased from memor y, and all other mes sages are moved to the fi r st message sl ots.
17 SPEC IAL MESS AGES The pager has the followi ng special me ssag es. OVERFLOW — appear s when the number of unr ead mess ages recei ved is gr eater th an the avai lable mem- ory. When this occu rs, any new mess age you recei ve bumps the oldest message ou t of memory.
18 PA G E R I D E A S Give your pager number t o fr iends and fa m il y. When they cal l your pager numb er, they can use their phone’ s tou ch-tone keypad to enter the number whe re you can r each them. Your pager displ ays thi s number when you r ece ive th e page .
