I f Caller ID servi ce is available in your ar ea an d you subscri be to it, the telephone company sends the caller’s telephone number ( and name, i f available in your area) and t he date and time of the call between the first and second rings.

7 In the unl ikely event that your module causes problems on t he phone line, the phone company can temporarily disconnect your service. If thi s hap- pens, the phone co mpany attempts to notify you in advance.

12 Foll ow the se steps to co nnect the AC adapt er . 1. Plug th e AC ada pter’ s bar rel plug int o the module’ s 9VDC jack. 2. Plug th e AC ada pter into a standar d AC outlet. INST ALLING/REPLACING THE BA T TER Y The m odul e uses a 9-vol t bat tery to p rotect its m em ory if t he power f ails.

23 MOUNTING THE MOD ULE You can pl ace the modu le dir ectl y on a desk, sh elf, or table. Or, you can mount the module on a wall . To mount the m odu le on t he wall , you need two screws ( not supp lied) wit h heads l arger than t he holes on the back of th e suppl ied mounting brack et.

31 DELETING CALLS When th e module’s m emory i s full , it automat ically delete s the oldes t call inf orma tion when a n ew call arri ves. You can als o manually de lete one or more call s on a li ne, and delete all cal ls on one or both li nes. Deleting a Si ngle Call 1.
